Really enjoyed watching your videos, as some years have passed since I last visited the railway. Several changes, I see, the footbridge at Williton and the turntable at Minehead. I spoke to the Stationmaster at Williton and I hear he has since died. He was with the group who started the railway back in the 70's. I hope to visit again next year, so I wish you and your wife some more happy hours on the WSR.
Yes the same man was at Williton when I joined as a Volunteer. Chris Van den Arden . He looked after retired greyhounds too in his spare time. His funeral really packed the church with many grateful supporters of what he had achieved..

You not going to ride on the Winter Steam festival end of December.. or are You away..?......I believe that DMU Trailer Car is destined for the South Devon Railway who have just bought it...* The DMU Engine is a Leyland Albion i think a later derivative of an AEC..
I fear our annual pass does not cover special events like the Winter Steam Festival Steve, but no doubt I will hope to catch some lineside videos! The history of what happened to British bus engines like Leyland AEC Albion Foden Guy Tilling Crossley Bedford etc is quite interesting but I had not come across the name on this engine's top plate before.

Sadly it appears that your WSR videos will not recommence until April. I was all set to visit the spring gala too!
I would expect the WSR will eventually announce a later date for the Spring Gala next year. It is too popular event to just delete.

Hi Mike, great video the class 33 was carrying on DMU car to BL and then to the South Devon Railway!
