I have the same mill but the trailer model. Works great but it’s definitely a learning curve tweaking the tension. Woodland Mills has given me three different instructions since I’ve owned it. Hopefully the last one is good long term! It’s unsettling having blades pop off! Good luck and enjoy the mill. It is fun 👍🏻
I think I've seen the 3 methods as I've been researching mills (bearing flush, 2.5-3 turns, or 20-25ft.lbs)? I need a torque wrench that is accurate at that range. Most seem to start at 25 or 50ft.lbs. That method seems like the most repeatable.

Yes very exciting. It taking a while for us to get some use out of it, but hope to get some storage buildings together this year.

I've heard those have to be perfectly level for a straight cut, might be worth double checking
I've been checking regularly since its just on blocks and I know it'll settle as we're moving around heavy logs.
