I just came across your video. I love it. I tried to glue stick and it’s a mess and I tried to iron. It’s OK. I like this sticky sheet idea better your card is absolutely beautiful. Thank you very much.❤
Great timing! I actually made a new napkin card video a few weeks ago, and this time I tried the glue stick. So many people have commented that they prefer glue sticks. You are right though - IT'S A MESS! I did not care for it, and will be going back to my adhesive sheets. At least I tried it... Thanks for your kind words Susan!
This was a eye opener for me. You are so organized. I love😊 that you give measurements. I e seen alot of videos on this, various methods. Yours is the best. I love it. I live in B.C Canada
Oooh....sounds really good! Just so I'm clear - because I do want to try this - I'll prep my napkin panel like I normally would, but then run through with an embossing folder instead of clear embossing? I like the sounds of this!
Just love your napkins. Did you know you can iron napkins and tissue paper to the shiny side of white freezer paper (from the grocery store)? Forgot the heat setting of the iron. They turn out beautiful and you can make matching envelopes with tissue paper. You can even put confetti in between the layers if you use white napkins and tissue paper. So fun!
That sounds awesome Beth! I've heard of ironing the napkin with plastic wrap between the napkin and regular paper. Never heard of freezer paper before, and I think I have some...will have to try it out! Thanks for the idea.
I'm so happy that I came across your video. It's a keeper! I've purchased my products for decoupage and napkin cards but have not made anything yet, until this video. BTW, your cards are stunning. Thank you!
Your cards are beautiful and would love to try making some I see you use Stampin Up adhesive sheets. Can I use the Scoretspe by Sookwang. I sure want to make my cards as nice as yours. Need to go look for pretty napkins.
Hi there! Thank you for the lovely comment. I think you could definitely use Scor-tape. I think the solid sheets would give a better result over the strips. If you're using the strips, I think you're going to be able to see and feel the individual strips under the napkin - even if you butt them up against each other closely. Think of a hardwood floor, but not smooth. It's worth a try though - it's only a napkin, right?! Not the end of the world if it doesn't work out the first time.
Thank you Joan! I had to go back and look at this video to see which glue I used. When I made this video, I was using Bearly Art Glue. I had done some comparing for myself between Bearly Art Glue and Art Glitter Glue. I like BOTH, but I later decided that I prefer the Art Glitter Glue. They are both wonderful glues. The Bearly Art comes out a little thinner, and has less wiggle room time (for me anyway). Art Glitter Glue comes out a little thicker and has more wiggle room time. I have Precision Tips on both containers, so I'm getting as thin of a bead of glue as possible. I bought both glues on Amazon, but I think several on-line paper craft supply stores have them. I would google and see who has the best prices right now - it changes all the time. Some stores will not ship the Art Glitter Glue in the cold months, because it may get clumped up - but I've never experienced that problem.
Hi Patricia! I use either Bearly Art Glue or Art Glitter Glue, for liquid glues. I like them both. If you're wondering what I used to attach the napkins to a cardstock base - I used Adhesive Sheets (double-sided sticky paper). Sizzix used to make them, but now I get them from Stampin' Up. Thanks for watching!
My friend gave them to me, but I think she got them from Simon Says Stamp. They are silicone, so you might find them other places...maybe not as cute though. ;)
Another great idea! Thanks for sharing! I have received a few napkin cards where they embossed that napkin layer, and you're right - it hides wrinkles, but it's also so PRETTY with that added texture! Thanks again!
I don't think so Lisa, because when you iron the Saran Wrap on your layer to start off with, it's melting that to create a "glue" layer. If you then tried embossing that, you'd be re-heating it and I'm afraid it would melt again, or even scorch that layer. It wouldn't hurt to practice with a napkin that isn't one of your favorites, but I wouldn't expect good results. :(
@@ToniStamps What method could i use to adhere the napkin to the paper that would allow me to use embossing powder? I really love the bright look you got with the clear embossing powder!
I've been using Adhesive Sheets. I got them from Stampin' Up, but Sizzix sells them (or used to anyway). The more I think on it though - that is also adhesive, and heating it up might melt it - but it doesn't. I've never had problems embossing the napkins with adhesive sheets. Maybe it won't melt the saran wrap again? I'm thinking definitely try it with the saran wrap, if you've already got a sheet done that way.
Hi Anita. Sorry it took me so long..I had to go back through my Amazon orders to find the info. Here's a link to the item in Amazon: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07NQLGZKV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The magnets are 3/8" x 1/32. I bought this 200-pk because it was a better value than 100 or less.

Yes
Thank you!
I’m just getting into napkins for coasters. I’m super excited to learn more techniques. I love that white dot printer paper ❤.
Thank you Ramona! Question for you - what do you use to attach the napkins to coasters? Decoupage glue or something else?
The purple hydrangea card is so beautiful, I would have used a smaller saying. But it did turn out beautiful ❤️
Thanks Sandra! I appreciate your feedback, and glad you liked it. :)

Thank you so much Priscille! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Your mom had some gorgeous napkins. I’m a sucker for them. TFS.
She definitely had some real beauties! Thank you!

Well now you're just making me blush Chris! I truly appreciate your kind words, and I am SO glad that you found these helpful!
I love your carefree attitude!❤❤❤❤
That's me! What can I say? :)
Love the clear embossing technique. Another option is to put the topper through an embossing folder. It adds wonderful dimension.

Yes that’s correct. The 3D folders work really well. Have fun experimenting.

Thank you! Those purples are really nice!
The sound is goog❤❤❤
Thank you! Hope you enjoyed the ideas.
I found if you turn the outside of the napkin down then put the adhesive down on the napkin it works better.
That's a great idea Elaine. Thank you!

Sound is great
Thanks Kathy!
Sound is good..
Thank you!
Could you make a card like this and put the greeting on with a magnet so it could be removed for refrigerator?😊😊😊😊😊
I don't see why you couldn't! That's a good idea!
Love the stamp for the greeting can the magnets go thru us ps???
Yes! The magnets can go through the mail. I've mailed a LOT of cards with magnets in them, and never had a problem.
Sound is good..
Thanks Elaine!

Where can I find those cute little “hands” to hold my paper while heat embossing please?

Runn it through an embossed- it hides wrinkles
