I thank God for you!!! I have been trying to get divorced over a year now but errors on my paperwork has been holding me back!!! thank you for your videos!!
After watching the first 4 videos. I just wanted to say thank you, but the only thing i missed is the timeline and duration of when forms are filed and the time between each one. plus which one will come and trigger the next form to be filed. I just want to say THANK YOU again. These videos are amazing.
Leafy Greens The timeline is 100% up to you; however, the faster you want to move through the divorce process, the faster you'll want to complete the documents. If you move too slowly, a judge may give you a set deadline to complete your financial disclosures. As for the duration of the forms, in most cases, the only one you may need to update during the divorce proceedings would be FL-150. You may also need to do another FL-140, FL-141, and FL-142, which, combined with an updated FL-150, would be considered your FINAL Declaration of Disclosure. I'm very glad you found the videos helpful - best of luck to you!
@@CristinLowe You're so awesome. Very helpful. I've one question. In amicable divorce, if the non petitioning spouse who lives overseas agrees to waive personal service of process, what form/paper (if there's standard form) or Declaration had to be completed? How does the declaring spouse overseas execute the waiver? Asked two California family law attorneys, including at self-help, they're not sure...
Thank you so much for your videos! Small quick question... I am the respondent and was served by mail. To acknowledge receipt, can I just sign, date, and return it by hand to my wife/petitioner? Or am I supposed to file my response with the court? Things are amicable and we see each other every few days due to having a child together. Thank you for your help!
Do you also include a self addressed stamped envelope for the respondent to send back this form? And who does he send it to? The petitioner or the server or the court?
This is great watching your videos has helped me to started with this crazy paper work. I am going to the court house tomorrow to start it I am going to turn in FW-001 & FL-100 will I get a case number when I turn my FL-100
