Only a single 1 hour train ride from central Tokyo, Mt. Takao is a very popular destination during the fall season. Today we will hike from the base to summit on one of the busiest days of the season, labor thanksgiving. The trees were in peak autumn colors, and the temperature was cool, but not cold.

I love Japan, but holy moly is it over crowded. Are you going up the trail the wrong way? And, wow it gets really narrow!

Japan added restrictions for me the day of my flight so i wasnt able to go. Such a rash decision from them :(
For the sake of a couple of photos, go to these slides? .... I didn’t see anything special there. There are places more beautiful and less crowded. It is crowded here, although it attracts a couple of landscapes. But not more. The trip is not worth it.
