The water heater for a water bottle is like $58 a piece. I'm not gonna buy 4 of em for the rabbits. Haha it's best to just monitor them and bring out fresh water every few hours. I heard about that beet juice thing and it's also not a practical solution if it's in subfreezing temps.
@cluelessbushcraft Wow that's pricey. And nothing available on temu or some cheap site? Maybe even Facebook marketplace or Craigslist? I'd suggest looking into solar, but when a solar trail cam freezes in MN, that may be a tough ask unless you insulate or something....
I don't think I will. I considered it but just to be on the safe side I'm keeping em separated. Since Lila has kits. Introducing a new female could be problematic although they likely lived together in the past in the colony.
When are you going to eat Caster?
Domo arigato brother from the cold Midwest, sending much happy holidays all the way from Notre Dame . 🍀🌞❄️🥶
yah it is true
Any luck finding some way to keep the water from freezing? It's darn cold outside.

Im not sure this would work but since they keep eating there beding why dont you just use the fuzz in a stuffed animal or somthing?
If they eat that material it can become impacted in their digestive system... lead to death.
Why aren’t you using the rabbit drip bottles on the left? Too cold?
Well everything else was frozen..... So what do you think?

Do you plan on keeping the females together?
