Thanks for the nice review! Some tones are really good. Wanted to share a quick point: easy on-board editing was certainly a USP a few years back, but this is becoming increasingly irrelevant given that most multi-effect processors can be connected to the PC for editing. Last year, I was almost ready to throw away my processor because of the cumbersome editing procedure but found a third-party software to do so on the PC - it indeed gave it a second life! I can now get tones that I want much faster.
I have one of these, at first it was like Rocket science to figure out, read all the manuals and studied it. Basically keep it simple is the message, like your instruction I think this is best way to operate system, find sound you like and play/record straight to software of choice, you can add multiple guitar effects underneath each track as bonus, the keyboard is handy for Ska material. Other than that, yes, you have to buy an adapter, mine was 30 Euro, many thanks for your lesson, it says it all really, it is a very handy unit.

Nice video and i thank you very much. Could you explain how you connect it and what should be the settings on your amp? Do i have to put all the effects at zero except the sound?
When you use the aux in then the settings on the amp doesn't matter, since it would be bypassed. However if you are using a mono cable to go into the input of the amp rather than the aux in, then a good start is to keep everything halfway
Really good indepth review. I was looking for a review like that as i am planning to buy one. But you said something like an editing the fuctions via an usb port, which you didnt cover. Is there an option for that?
Nice video. Thanks. Are these tones going to work well live at shows ? I plan on running this into a quilter power amp and then into a 212 cab. I am wondering if I should mic the cab to get the sound into the mains or if there is an option to send one signal as a line out (to the PA mixer) and one to my guitar rig (quilter amp and 212 cab).
Thank you. In case of running the processor into a power amp and cab you'll have to select the desired output type from the processor. But they just allow one output type as far as I know. So that might be an issue tone wise. But apart from that you can definitely try using the left output to go to the cab and the right to the PA. It's a bold idea and I would suggest some experimentation with the output type so as to get the best results.
Is the sound quality really as good as it’s bigger brother, the GT100. And how do the sounds compare to something like the Zoom G3Xn, if I may ask. And yeah, thanks for the super video.
Nice vid! One question. Could I use this as an interface? My goal is to hook this up to a PC or Mac, and play along to backing tracks and/or videos. Thank you sir.
Can you add sounds such as flute, harmonium, sitar on this pedal? Looking for something that can create Indian instrumentals. So far the only one I know is the Roland GR-55, but this one is much better in terms of price...
I m upgrading my processor (g1xon). .....planning to buy a processor...so please suggest me between boss gt1 vs zoom g5n they both are the same price range

@@SurjoBhattacharjee Hello Sir Thank you for the reply. Right now I am only thinking of headphones or computer speakers to connect to gt 1 without any software in between because of tight budget. Will I get the tones like yours. Please reply. I am a novice in electric guitar. Thanks once again sir.
Hi nice review....could you help me with this though . I currently have a gt-1 with spider 3 15 watt and was thinking of upgrading my amp . I am considering this because I recently played with a Laney cub 8 (without my pedal though) which is a really cheap tube amp(around 13 k rupees) and loved the response time and depth, cleanliness of tone . But I was also thinking of trying the pedal straight with a PA system or speaker cabinet cos the boss gt-1 has a preamp with it already and in theory should add warmth to the dull sound of the PA system or cabinet , and I could easily use all preamps within the gt-1 without much of the fuzzed/clipped sound I get presently . I unfortunately don't have many shops around where I could try the different amps, so would be great if you could suggest something under 20k Rs. Also would be great if you could tell what amp and mic you used for the vid....thnks✌✌
+Kush Singh Thank you. First of all, no amp and mic in this video, recorded through a line in to give the true sound. Secondly, there is an output setting on the GT1 which I want you to explore. Third, please understand that the gt1 is already having some gain on it, and then when you add an amp into the mix even more gain gets added and that gives the fuzzy sound. I would suggest revisiting your patches and lowering the gains wherever possible. Trying low gain but high volume on your amp is an option you should look into. An sm57 is generally a good mic for a guitar amp.
Hlo Surjo..Hoper this question will be noticed...My looper of GT1 stops after every 30 seconds and then restarts after a pause of 2 seconds. Any settings to run it continuously as it is very annoying,, it does let me improvise for more than 30 seconds continuously,, pls reply..thanks

(Like a Line 6 Helix)
Or it just emulate pedals?
Can emulate amps, but not at the Helix level.

No it has a noise gate. Go to editing the patches and NS with threshold settings is the noise fate

The second half of the video is about editing the patch.
2nd half of video about GT1 is not getting
