- This is a video on recognizing some signs that your fish might be on its way out. In this video I explain what to look for and some things you can do to try and save your fish.
One of the main things to look for is lack of appetite. If your fish is not eating something is wrong. The best thing to do when you see something wrong with your fish, is to give it its own tank. Put it in a quarantine tank. Dose the tank with medication if you can.

Constantly check on your fish and watch it and see if it is improving or getting worse. Try feeding very small amounts every now and then. If the fish does not eat, then let it be and give it space and time.

update: we got fishy medicine as recommended and hes doing a lil better, started swimming a tad and eating a lil more. i have faith in him. go gerald! :)
update 2: its been a week and hes doing much better. we’re going to continue the medicine for another week. hes swimming and eating again. now we just wait for his fins to become normal again. :) hes doing great though!

just do your regular water change declorinate your water every change and do not overfeed your fish you can feed it 3x but when your fish was new from the pet store im sure it is lowlyfed if you feed that fish it will surely wants to eat all the food start gradually and very low bec i heard that fish eat all the time and when the fish is full it will not eat more food but its a different story when the fish are starving like fishes in the petsore, maybe 40 to 50% If thats a new tank i used quickstart to have live benefecial bacteria if you dont have those then ask your petstore if you can take 1 sponge in one of the aquariums and then squeez that dirt sponge on your water just a little sponge, then put the necesary those of meds just to be sure that you kill the bad germs if that makes sense.

You can keep your sick fish in your quarantine tank with adding some general fish aid which help your fish to get out from stress and also you can add some sea salt as per product direction. I treated my two fishes that way and it's work for me.

My goldfish got to the side of the tank, and goes up and down
I keep my Angels in with smaller fish Guppies. I don't use flakes for any of my fish once they are big enough to eat Bloodworm. I feel there's too many impurities in flakes. hope that helps.

It’s November and I’ve had my Betta since January. He had something not so good wrong with him a few months ago but he recovered but never got to grow his fins back completely. Now he has some fuzzy white stuff under his scales and I came home today to him laying on the ground hardly moving. I’ve been treating the tank with some anti fungus pills and changing the water but I think this is the end. He has his own little tank right now and now I guess I just wait. I love my little boy Klein ❤️
I’m no pro on Angelfish but one time I had just 2 Angelfish in a tank by themselves. One started bullying the other one (they were the same size) and was hitting it hard on it’s sides and if it was pretty close to the side of the tank the bully would ram it into the glass. Then all of a sudden it was so stressed that it ended up laying flat on it’s side on the gravel. I got really upset so I quickly scooped some of the tank’s water in to a bucket, caught the bully and gave it to the pet shop. As soon as I had it in the bucket I held the fish net and lightly touched the stressed one and it started swimming again, without the bully in the tank. All was well with it since the bully was gone. I am guessing that the bully in your tank could have rammed your fish hard in it’s side and injured it internally. I noticed that it did not have any strength to swim near any little currents your bubbles made. It was too weak to swim much because of not eating. It could not eat because it was injured, too weak and/or in pain. It sure was a beauty and I know you miss it. RIP little Angelfish. You are missed! I hope you can figure out what happened. It did have a shredded tail fin so it was probably in pain. Yes, fish feel pain because they have pain receptors. This is a proven fact. I’m sure that you are a great fish keeper. If you can find the bully if there is one, give it to the pet store!

My fish died quz i had a bully that didn’t let it swim anywhere and eventually it died. He didn’t eat or move from the hiding spot and when he tried the other mail fish/bully just chased him back to the hiding spot.😢
hey did you find out what happened? I started an aquarium...bought 3 angelfish, neon tetras and 2 otocinclids. 2 neon tetras, 1 oto, and an angel fish died. I noticed there was one angelfish swimming to the top and getting close to the filter. It looked like he was needing air. I'm using a filter with a venturi system. When I turned the flow to max the angelfish got better and now is okay and swimming strong. I think the filter was acting like a hospital oxygen tank...and when the patient is having a hard time breathing they need a higher flow rate on the oxygen tank. Maybe you should set your filter to max flow.

Five years later: has anyone pointed to leakage currents from your powered devices; sometimes faulty pumps, filters, etc. will spill electrical current into the tank thus affecting the fish.

Hi master aquatics reply and sorry for your angle fish and I have a golden angel fish it had the same problem it was the smallest fish in the tank it could not eat because the other fish so he stayed hungry and got a little bit of bully but then that changed when I move the other fish so now he eats bloodworm and flakes and still living.And maybe it is you big angel fish that kill your angel fish.Thank if you read this far

It may also got the diesease: Angelfish Hexamita (Hole-in-the-Head Disease) Also known as Hole-in-the-Head disease, Hexamita is caused by the rapid multiplication of a parasite that’s normally present in freshwater aquariums. Untreated, the disease can cause the death of your angelfish.

best idea get the medication for velvet and internal bacteria put them in the water hours before you get your next lot then when they go in it starts to treat it straight away

You should have a cover for your filter so it can't suck fish up.
I'm currently trying to save one of my fish. He got stuck in a decoration and ripped all his scales off. He's been slow but seems to still want to eat, but just can't get any food in his mouth, I've separated him from the rest of the tank via dividers but not entirely sure if he'll make it. Everywhere i go i can't seem to find any info on what to do when a fish skins itself alive, come on internet i know you've hidden it somewhere.

I am so sad to this, same thing happened to me many times - I once hatched angel fish successfully about 60 survived and grown up however since a certain stage they start dying one after the other, I don't know wha't going on therefore can't do anything but watching them dying. apart from the signs of dying I recon more importantly is why? unfortunately I can't figure out, even don't test water quality or temperature because if that's the case all fish would be in trouble.
the only possible reason I can think of is lack of space, angel fish is terrtory sensive therefore once they grown up and living space is limited they could be fight each other and the loser will get stressful, not eating, isolated and die eventually. anyone have any idea about why and how to avoid angel death please comment, appreciate very much!

I had discus fish for some time all where healthy water conditions where good nitrate 0 nitrite 0 and amonia 0 then I made a mistake of changing the sand I believe the new sand had parasites because I see a small work like bug within 2 days the fish died I done all the things like medicate and large water change and put them in a isolated tank but they couldn't be saved always make sure you check what your putting in your tank weather it's plants or ornaments or sand because you might not see the parasites but they are deadly nice video sorry about your fish

I've never tried raising angel fish before so maybe they're tough to take care of or are extra sensitive? I have mostly cat fish and sharks but I used to have beta's. If your angel fish was getting bullied, I'm thinking that alone might have been what killed it, unless it had some kind of disease or parasite. If the water was good, there were live plants that were doing fine, and the water temp was solid, it seems like your fish should have lived a long, happy, healthy life.

Recently I went to go get some balloon mollies and they were huge, there were about 4-5 in the bag and as I watched one of them seemed very weak in the bag. Angel fish have very very sensitive fins and it is very light sensitive so if it get hurt on it fins or if it get fish bladder disorder it stops eating from two of this reasons i feel that your fish fins were hurt or something like disturbed it fins and fish does like to be hideous i guess because i feel your tank is kind of crowded

how big of an aquarium do I need if I want that many angel fish?
So I bought a koi monday and put in in with my koi angel fish and my small catfish and some of my other fish and by tuesday they were acting funny. Staying at the bottom not wanting to eat, scraping against stuff, my koi angel fish stayed at the surface of the water. I changed the water and it didn't do any good so I went to the store to get some ick tablets and when I got back the koi I bought monday was dead, then my catfish and then one of my koi angel fish died. Now the rest of my other fish are doing better but my other koi angel is still at the surface of the water and my other small catfish is at the surface of the water. What do I do?
i have two aquariums an in my saltwater one, one of my fish had black spots on him yesterday an jus died. then we had a crab that died, an a lot more fish an snails an crabs died. we have the right stuff but we jus don’t know what’s happening. all our plants are live too. is that causing bacteria or something ?
I got neon tetras, but they all stopped moving, even though they were alive, wouldnt eat, then died, if you have suggestions on what killed them, please comment it. Guys I need an advice on one thing so I heard that if fishes give birth they eat the fry not long after and I’ve researched about it and it said to seperate the fries from the tank after birth and then grow them a bit in a different tank and then put it back to the other tank but in my case I only have 1 tank so what can I use as a temporary tank and i also don’t have two oxygen so i am really hoping the fries can survive without oxygen for a couple weeks or months
