I love me a good werewolf movie!
And what I've learned is that you can get away with a fairly weak werewolf suit if you can amp up the suspense and tension (it's not as easy as you think because if you take away the spectacular FX of 'An American Werewolf in London' (1981) it's not a great movie).
And the interesting thing is that CGI werewolves don't work particularly well, as the Underworld movies show (though to be fair those movies are a mixture of practical and CGI werewolf effects) so you can't swap out a practical suit and expect it to work all that well.

By the way, when is 'The Beast Within' coming out because I'm getting a sneaking suspicion - having an idea what's coming out - that it might not get a theatrical release.
And I really want to catch it so where should I be looking?
