- In this video I show my conversion from a 3x8 to a 1x10 drivetrain on my gt aggressor pro.
Having a bigger cassette gives you better performance for climbing.

How's the shifting with the sram chain? I believe that kmc, sumc, shimano chain is much efficient with that kind of cassette sprocket because that is derived from shimano which will benefit from shimano's hyperglide chain
You’re right, the shifting is pretty smooth. It took me a while to get it right but now it shifts great.
Looks good. I did something similar with my 3x9 2019 Trek Marlin 7 but didn’t upgrade the BB, but I should. Will you upgrade the fork at some point or is the front end light enough?
Yeah, I already upgraded the fork. It has a Rockshox Judy silver TK 120 mm. I just watched your videos, your bike looks great!

hey i just got a gt aggressor pro 27.5 xl, and i got the bike with a messed up rim and spokes are messed up to and i wanna swap the disk and cassette to a new rim, is there anyway you could help me find a rim thats cheap ish with hub and spokes on amazon, great video btw
@@carterwheeliez yeah the rims are not the best on this bike. I had to replace my front rim once after a crash. What’s your budget?

I've been looking through amazon and there are some cheap rims, but I don't know how good they would be. I usually buy from Facebook marketplace, I find some used WTB rims there at a cheap price and they have lasted me more than a year so far.
