The Surrey Hills - the 'Sunset Steam Express' has a sunset at last! BR 7MT 70000 'Britannia' hauls the 13 coach train, plus the idling class 47, over the undulating North Downs line.
Just trying to imagine that we're back in the days when steam was king. This might have been a regular sight in the late evenings of mid-summer. Nicely shot and thanks for sharing.
The ( Gomshall Summit 😝) looks like something in West Virginia ( ? ) ... but ..... my domestic bonfire produces MUCH LESS smoke ( SAVE the whale .. ermmm ) Greta T would NOT be amused .... DAVE™🛑
Superb performance from Britannia 👍

Glorious sunset!! Now where’s the Sunset Express?
Indeed - the sound is also part of the experience.
All I can see is the railway line, so what’s happened to the train? Ah!! Here she comes!!

Yes - I suspect a fresh batch of very dusty coal was being piled on the fire here!
