OMG where do I begin. I will give a point of view from a scientist and engineer. This product is total nonsence. First I will explain a few laws a physics and thermodynamics. There are two concepts in particular that explains why this product and other similar do not work. Energy can neither be created or destroyed it can only change form. Also cold does not exist; there is heat and the absence of heat. Now if you take those two concepts into consideration, hopefully you will understand. These small desktop air conditioners work on one of two principles. There is evaporative cooling and the Peltier effect. This particular model uses evaporative cooling. When water changes from the liquid to a vapour it absorbs heat. This is what we call endothermic. When something absorbs heat, the air next to it will feel cooler. This is what happens with this unit. The water that evaporated will go into the air. That's probably okay if you live in a very dry climate but increasing the humidity in the room will eventually make you feel hotter because of the humidex effect. Forget about using it in a humid climate because the additional humidity will not only promote the growth of mold and mildew, the water in the air will eventually condense. When water changes from a vapour to a liquid, it releases heat hence what we call exothermic. So the net effect is no change in the actual room temperature but perhaps only temporary and very localized cooling, that is, less than a meter from the unit. You are better off using a fan. For those using the Peltier effect, the cooling is generated by moving the heat from one electrical junction to another. These are only 5% efficient so unless you are moving the heat outside somewhere the net effect will be an increase in temperature. So how do real air conditioners work. They are actually heat pumps that transfer the heat from inside the room to outside the room. So they are actually not creating cold, but moving heat. It's the same principle as a refrigerator. Heat is being pumped from inside the refrigerator to outside into the room. So those who think that opening the refrigerator door will cool the room are making a big mistake because the efficiency of refrigerators is relatively low so that you are actually going to heat up the room by doing so. Some of you might say, what about those cold packs that you use in first aid kits. Then again it's a endothermic chemical reaction that absorbs heat away from your skin so that it feels cold. You cannot create cold. You can only move heat. So don't waste your money. This product is nonsense and provide little if any slight temporary benefit and if there is any slight benefit, there is also larger negative consequences.

Technically is a Blaux (pronounced "blow") brand portable Air Cooler, marketed as a 'revolutionary air conditioner', supposedly invented by a 15 y/o orphan kid who grew up in Albuqurque.
I've bought the same as this one, but from Blitzwolf. I was aware this is not actually an air conditioner, it would not cool a room. But my question is: Is the air from this Air Cooler colder than this normal fan?
It's ok for what it is but don't expect it to work in anyware else but Thu desert if you put a big fan in front of it it cooled my rather large front room down from 80 to 75 but that's about it

Having done industrial water treatment service all over the southwest for 12 years for huge heating and cooling systems, I can tell you that I wouldn’t pay even $5 for this tiny swamp cooler. That 300ml water tank might get you around a whopping 600 BTUs of cooling-if that “powerful” 200mAH battery lasts enough for one “tank” full. For comparison, a regular 18650 li-ion rechargeable battery supplies around 2 THOUSAND mAH. You might be able to keep an insulated hamster cage cool with a Blaux unit for 15 minutes. 🤦🏻♂️
ThankU being honest. I recommend gas high-efficiency furnace for winter. it's saved lots of $ money on electric & gas. New furnace stays on 8-10 minutes & old gas furnace on 20- 25 minutes & it's much warmer for less $

Air coolers need to have air flowing otherwise you will not feel a cold breeze. So it is necessary to open a window so hot air can pass through the air cooler . The temperature of your room will never cool down. Selling an air cooler as air conditioner is indeed a scam. Advertising it as an air cooler not.
