- Hi Guys! This home vlog is all about decorating for Halloween :) We'll be showing you our halloween haul and spooky season decorations we picked to make the house feel festive! We mainly went to Homesense Halloween for the halloween decorating items (for some reason they have the most stuff). But we found other bits along the way. Enjoy!

Yes, here in the US, we have a pop-up store called Spirit Halloween just for the season in every city. I was never into gore type movies, but I remember the Sixth Sense movie. That was scary with a twist at the end. Adults now spend a fortune on decor, costumes, candy, etc. It's right up there now with Christmas. Unfortunately, I see Halloween here in the US has turned into more scary demonic, than fun. I used to dress up every year at work. They had contests and prizes. It was alot of fun. I've seen alot of pink decor this year (for Christmas too), no doubt a residual of the Barbie movie. I enjoyed watching this 🕷🎃 video!
Thank you so much for your insights! I find Halloween in the US fascinating (mainly because of the lack of decorations here lol). I find more people in the UK decorate for Autumn i.e. autumnal leaf garlands etc🍂🍁 We also don't enjoy the gore/ horror films in this house. We watched the Goosebumps movie one year and turned it off after I screamed out loud 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Have a great Halloween 🎃🖤🎃🖤🕸️

Keep up the great work! ❤ I was just at a Spirit Halloween store last weekend (I'm in the US (South Carolina)) and bought a Wednesday costume along with some "spooky vibe" home decorations - lots of orange! Your Halloween display at the end of the video is gorgeous, warm and inviting (with a good dash of spooky). Cheers and Happy Halloween!

Hello, I like the style "old time" of this video. Even in Italy we can find shops overloaded of halloween suggestions. But it s hard to feel involved because it s still summer here, 27 degrees at noon, and I live in the north.

I love your Halloween video. Right now it's rainy and chilly weather, but there are still roses and daisies blooming in the park! Not Xmas yet! Fall can be a downer with the shorter days and change of weather, but I like to give it its full due before moving on to the winter holidays. So hurrah for praline candles, lots of orange, and Halloween fun!

If the wooden cut out decoration has an on/off switch then you just pull that button you were pushing along with its cord right out of the back. Then the on/off switch should work. They put those temporary buttons on so shoppers don't leave the light on and waste the batteries or bulbs

I love Laura Childs! It's funny, I tend to read a lot of British mysteries, but a lot more of American cozies. I love how you decorated! Here in the US, we also have Dollar Tree that has lots of holiday decorations, especially Halloween, and a lot of the DIY channels specialize in items from Dollar Tree. I don't like scary, either.

I used to do Halloween big....very big. But I find it has become quite ghoulish and I cannot vibe with that. I grew some pumpkins this year and having those about makes it nice and charming. I don't decorate in the death theme.....not anymore.
I enjoyed your shopping trip. I'm here in the US so we do have lots of Halloween decor. I hope you are carving pumpkins for Halloween...there is nothing better than the smell of a candle in a real pumpkin. UA-camr Christopher Heideman's channel is great. He decorates his whole beautifu lbrick house in Minnesota with lots of great Halloween decor throughout the house. He makes so many of his decorations. He has beautiful Christmas decor as well. I hope you take a look.

I don't like how customerised festivals have become, I wish we'd take it back to our celtic roots and be more about the festival and leave the irish traditions that got adapted by americans. I like Samhain in its traditional form.
Hi Zella! Me too🤗 We celebrate Samhain & luckily that we live in Scotland, there's an annual fire festival in the heart of Edinburgh 🔥 It's very much going back to the roots of Halloween & experiencing old traditions. I feel like I am honouring my Scottish family who are no longer here xx
