@@DarkM0ds two years late, but that's quite interesting. What about the center snare? They're technically still one of the strongest players, right? Idk, I like watching DCI, don't know hardly anything though
They peak at the right time every year it seems. It amazes how much cleaner they sound each week playing the most challenging book year in and year out. Lot of new faces but consistent greatness. Best of luck to them.
yeah she is! i saw her season before last here in dallas with another corps. can't recall who, but me and my friends noticed and were laughing at how almost bored she looked. she was breezing through the warmups and the book with ease!
We'll see who the best is! The competition is so close, drums has been back and forth A LOT between BD, SCV, and Cadets. I'll be happy with whoever gets drums, they're all great lines!
Nice funkiness. Can't say I like the show very much, but the drumline's always a pleasure. Doesn't the last bit remind anyone a little of the '99 book?
Seriously, Bluecoats are putting out some sick stuff this year. I like SCV and Cadets too, but Bluecoats are finishing top 2 this year, them and I think SCV.
Yeah, I can see where you're coming from there. When the pit does cymbals, their placement and equipment don't lend to blend very well. I guess it really comes down to sound preference. Some cores want that sound, some don't, I guess.
all though with the cymbal line you can allow more volume and "color" in the cymbal parts. also it seems that when the pit does cymbals it is over powering, at least to me
I agree with you on the coats. in the past few years, SCV has come out strong and placed very well early in the season in drums. but they end up peaking too soon and that's when the devs and other lines come up and overtake them
I feel like I've seen that girl before. I'm not a blue devils fan but I was just checking them out to see what their line was like. Did she march with bluecoats?
Looking at this, the book is like 100x more intense than 2017's...
This whole show is more intense than 2017 lolol
Yeah low-key I kind of miss how intense bds shows were 2015 and before
When Kaito is at the end you know this is a serious line.
Why? The end placement at Devs doesn't mean anything... They do it on height and who's sound you fit best next to
LOL. ^
Kyle Matthews they typically put new people one in from the end. the end is harder for listening purposes
they actually puit their strongest players on the ends. newer players are in the middle for easier listening./

god i fucking love the blue devils tenor line lol
Yes, yes, yes!
Love the fact that you can hear Crown's horns in the background.

oh my gosh, is this the best blue devils line ever? they sound amazing
xXEzYmOnEyXx not even close
Parker Jones 7 years ago try again
Love the jazzy sound the Devils play with
they are killin it this year!
dude i can legit hear crowns horn line in the background. that’s awesome😭
Thank you.
These kids have great touch.
yeah she is! i saw her season before last here in dallas with another corps. can't recall who, but me and my friends noticed and were laughing at how almost bored she looked. she was breezing through the warmups and the book with ease!
yeah, you're right. i started watching video i had taken from that show afterwards and found her.
I love the horn player in the back that is like "Oh my god.... our drumline"
Incredible drumming!
Carolina Crown in the background......
LOL At the Stanford show CC drumline was warming up next to BDB and they were shitting their pants at how much better the B corps line was.
@@popeyesailor9571 True in 2013. Crown's line has gotten much better since then. Crown 2013 is the only DCI line that deserves criticism.

Holy Crap those bass drum splits... 😱
Amazing!!
The Quad book is LIT
they snares sound so good with scoops
Bd 2013 was said by some to be the hardest show ever marched
It's either this or Cadets 2015.
This is hella awesome
I'm digging the bass groove.
sooo many threes in this book
Yup nicole casino center snare for pulse 2013
This is great
Very interesting book.
oh,ok imma have to look her up thanx
sounds like the 2010 drum break
BD Tenors are so consistent.
Does anybody know the solo from the beginning
the hornline hittin up space chords in the backround haha
You mean Crown playing their opener?
I hear Crown in the background!!!! YEAH!
Lol the bass clicks were the best part in my case :)
on some of my warm-up sheets it says that my band director wrote the warm-ups for the blue devils :D
Rockin BD beats + Awesome CC Brass in the background = XD
what heads are the tenors using?
Gawd...their drum line is always out of this world (kind of like Zarathustra in the background...lol!).
if you watch their 2012 in the lot, the swing is very similar
That sounds better than when they were in Clovis. Much better.
Have to admit that ending is pretty freaking groovy
CLEAN
DOPE!!!!
Just curious, how does low tuning hide dirt?
Yeah she did.
Yes.
Can't wait for his I&E...
I was born there!
I don't care if it's "typical BD beats" or the most unique shit ever
That's still pretty damn clean and I will never be that good
2017 at the end there?
Did the inner right tenor march scv?
you bet it is! what a boss he is
< continues to be impressed....
Nice funkiness. Can't say I like the show very much, but the drumline's always a pleasure. Doesn't the last bit remind anyone a little of the '99 book?
Have the blue devils started to recently tune their snares to sound "wetter" than in previous years?
whats the guys name two to the left of the girl?
aaaannnnnndddd 2012 in that last part.
Bad ass !!!
Why don't they have a cymbal line?
Seriously, Bluecoats are putting out some sick stuff this year. I like SCV and Cadets too, but Bluecoats are finishing top 2 this year, them and I think SCV.
Who and what instrument?
Scojo, "I think I'm just going to modify last years closer."
then go to the drumline that you do want to hear
what is it dada part 2 but 2010 version lol because i heat the solo part lol
can you point out which parts are recycled?
i'm curious to know cause i really can't tell haha xD
Yeah, I can see where you're coming from there. When the pit does cymbals, their placement and equipment don't lend to blend very well. I guess it really comes down to sound preference. Some cores want that sound, some don't, I guess.
what year was lady drummer in?
so does everything since 2010
HOLY SHIT !
Are they playing licks from last year in the end....?!?
Man that girl is a boss
The tenors are soooooooooooooooooooo cleannnn 😫😫😫
Kyle Adams Cuz they got Kev Hart on the tenor line.
@@sup3414 LOL
@BDizDaBest So how do you feel now that Crown has won?
No. I just didn't see that it was more than two people.
the whole bass part seems to be eerily similar to that of the Academy's last year o.0
Why is the groovy part back?
Is that Cash Flow Kaito on the end there?
have you heard the bluecoats at all?
Yeah MATT PONCE
so cool to see that they have a girl center
all though with the cymbal line you can allow more volume and "color" in the cymbal parts. also it seems that when the pit does cymbals it is over powering, at least to me

Hahaha you hear crown in the back
DAT SPOCK ROLL
those quads are fuckin awesome
shredding
Crown brass in the background at 2:29 :)!
... and 2011, and 2012...
And nobody else's do, right?
Have you seen Crown's show this year? It's Einstein on the Beach.. What doesn't make sense to you?
dont forget bluecoats. there drums are always big competitors.
Yeah Kaito made it!
I feel like I've seen that girl before. I'm not a blue devils fan but I was just checking them out to see what their line was like. Did she march with bluecoats?
Their book is much less complicated recently
I wish I could march in my pajamas.
Where's Keenan ?
2:29 - Go Crown brass!!!
That shortest tenor guy is really cute. ;-)
Good God can they play.
