Gotta Question Degen’s I take 8mg film of suboxone everyday like prescribed by my doctor and still use fentanyl here and there, getting high or pretty buzzed in the perfect amount, alright? okay. My question is if I use Fetty for more then 2-3 days while using suboxone with mout getting sick from the fentanyl ceasing. And NO IM NOT GOING INTO PWD’s I’m past that possibility with already having bupe in my system. Just want to know if I’m will have something happen or not. And don’t guess if you don’t know I need maturity, not retarded brain activity.
If you're still feeling your opiod of choice after taking suboxone that means you sub script is too low. You shouldnt feel H if youre taking the right amount of sub.
Getting off Suboxone is awful. And prolonged. I was on prescribed Oxycontin for 18 months, tried to quit cold turkey. Was really awful. I got so dehydrated, it became a medical thing. So I went on Suboxone. Remember, I was determined to get clean. Instead of the 32+ mg the doc told me to take, I took just 8 mg. And after just a couple weeks I started tapering down the Suboxone over the course of a couple months. I felt the effects of the tapering but it was not too bad. Finally, I was down to much less than even 1 mg. Then I stopped altogether and the real withdrawal started. 2-3 weeks of all the symptoms of withdrawal. The most intense discomfort abated a little. but I was unbelievably tired and depressed. Which lasted 6 months. It was over a year before I really started to feel better. And it was around then the cravings for opioidal high returned. But I was in no hurry to go through kicking again.
Oh I agree the withdrawal is worse than coming off heroin but it's so prolonged and takes longer to come on you! Withdrawal symptoms from this took a couple of weeks to start with me and lasted 3 months !
Jesus man that sucks bro. I’ve tapered off of hydrocodone 2 times and it only took a couple weeks because every time I dosed i would take the lowest possible amount just enough to to the edge off from the withdrawal. I of course relapsed and I been looking into this suboxone stuff and I keep seeing things like your comment. It takes that long to taper or it takes that long to withdraw from it? And I also hear the withdrawal is more intense than actual painkillers. Yeah sure the withdrawal from painkillers is hands down the worst feeling anyone can feel but i can handle the withdrawal for a few hours as long as I know i can just take a little dose of hydrocodone once it starts to get to intense and I can keep doing that until I get down to just taking 1 or 2 pills in the morning and 1 or 2 pills at night and then at that point I’m basically done because I’ll wake up one morning not needed to take anything and that’s how I know it’s over but what you are saying just sounds so impossible man fuk and I just got approved today for some. The reason I’m even considering this is because pills are getting so dam expensive because i have to of course buy them from people. So it’s the not being able to get any to even try and do a hole taper. Anyway I just thought what you said was crazy.
As a long term bupe/sub user that's helped friends and people asking for help online about tapering, I honestly always tell them to taper their prescriptions down to literally 0.25mg /at least/, maybe even 0.125mg. I know those doses might be a little difficult to measure** but there's always volumetric dosing. A lot of people underestimate both a. how strong subs/bupe is, and b. how intense and long the wds are, at least until they try getting off. That's why having a doctor to help taper down and address any WD symptoms is really important**. It's not a fun time, but it's doable. I know people wanna get off quickly, but patience really is your friend when trying to get off, both when used as a rapid taper, and after long term use and deciding to get off when someone is stabilized. I'm sure there's plenty of people that would disagree with me, but the lowering of opioid cravings is one of the best parts of being on subs/bupe long term, to the point now where I don't really even get cravings. I know I could stop my sub/bupe use and go use my DOC but it's just like a non-starter for me. It took a little while to get to this point but with how bad my addiction was, I'm 100% ok with being on subs/bupe for as long as I have. I'm sorry you went through such horrible WDs. I literally wouldn't wish any type of opioid WD on my worst enemy, but especially long acting ones like subs/bupe and methadone. I hope you're doing well and staying strong. 👍
@@bluegrim4252 Well, crazy is what addiction is all about, isn't it? First, everyone's recovery is different and their own. TBH, I have seen some posts that report they had little or no problems withdrawing from Suboxone and/or opioid drugs. And I can only vouch for my experience. Which, as my comment says, was awful and prolonged. And remember, this was someone who had never gone through withdrawal before. If there is a next time I will definitely taper off the drugs and skip the Suboxone. For what it is worth, most comments about Suboxone are similar to mine. Lastly, IMHO, Suboxone is a good thing if a heavy habit is suddenly cut off. And if the person is the kind of addict that simply cannot stop using and their life is constantly ripped apart by addiction. Some addicts quit because they have no choice and some (like me) quit because they want to quit. Either way, I salute you for wanting to quit.
