For Rex, slice of the left helmet peg, then slice off the visor leaving the peg hole and range finder as one piece, the attach the ranger finder/peg hole to right peg on helmet.
Great review. Also, Rex is missing his weld marks on the chest plate and he has an animated-style belt instead of the Live action style belt
I wish they’d just do a separate helmeted head rather than an oversized removable helmet.

It's not really Hasbro's fault, it's Lucasfilms fault for the weird design for Captain Rex and informing them pretty late . A fix i could see is perhaps cutting the antenna with the whole and separating it from the flat antenna then sticking it on the peg then you cut the other peg(the left one) and you should have a good Captain Rex, if you want to go futher just swap the pauldrons with the single carded release
Got mine 2 days before Christmas it was a great addition to my collection
This hasbro, this is how you should have exclusive waves, even if its 3 or 4 in a white box! Way less hassle for preorder and less hassle for retailers, all while drastically reducing damaged product.

Absolutely love this set!! I missed out on it in the summer so was thrilled to be able to order it at the beginning of December, for it then to arrive a week later. That’s a much nicer ordering experience than waiting a year for preorders!

Bought 2 of these sets, first thing I did is open Rex, cut off the visor and leave the rangefinder, then snip the little peg and swapped his shoulder pauldron for a perfect Rex. Worth the money I guess
Shame about Rex, but the visor is accurate if he was carded from the Clone Wars. There where a couple of episodes where he has it. Hopefully Hasbro release these figures individually, specially the Elite Squad Trooper.
I’d take a army builder pack with Imperial crosshair and elite squad troopers with different face sculpts. Don’t get me wrong I’d rather see other things in army builder packs and these single carded but just throwing out ideas.
A single elite squad trooper would be great, but I doubt it since they came in a pack. A Crosshair figure seems more likely.
helmet is actually a super easy fix, cut one pig off evenly, then cut visor off at range finder, and it looks pretty great

Hello Tim! I just noticed you haven’t made a review for TVC The Emperor (VC 202) and the Stormtroopers 4-pack. I know that in your recent videos you’ve been saying you have been having some family issues, I’m so sorry for that. BUT, when your available, do you think you could make them please. I love your videos, love your content, and I don’t want to open my Emperor and Stormtrooper pack until I see your review and check if it’s truly worth to open them or live them carded/on the box. I’ve had that version of Rex in 6” scale for a while now, and his head sculpt was not changed like they did here in TVC. Strange. What a mess that figure turned out to be. Grey and Ballast look great, no surprise since they’re new. And the elite squad trooper is just another scaled down 6” figure, but I like it a lot. However we need rogue Crosshair for him to command! Overall this is not that impressive, just average I’d say. I was really hoping that the first Bad Batch characters we’d get would’ve been the actual “Bad Batch”, not these background characters. Hasbro continues to leave us wondering who’s in charge there making stupid decisions.
Anyway, thanks for the review. I also enjoyed the extended music that closed out your video! Such a great, catchy tune. Don’t ever change it!!! 😬

I’m not a fan of the capt. Rex, head sculpt but I do love the visor, it fits the Rex, in that scene from the BB. It’s a okay figure

the arms and such are good, helmet can be fixed super super easy, but the torse missing all the proper paint app's, can tell they didn't mean for his soft goods to be removed
I put the clone wars Rex helmet on the vc figure and it looks decent, scale is pretty good
Elite Squad Trooper looks great...not fussed on the others, wished I'd got one from Tunghori weeks back, ah well 😒
Though what if you cut the macrobinoculer pegs off then carefully put a hole in the helmet and use the range finder they gave Jesse? It may be a better solution for those who just want the range finder only?
Giving this to Amazon, and not having the actual Bad Batchers available to collectors, seems like a one-two punch in the gut for TVC fans. Oh Hasbro.
Use a b.b. size piece of that stuff you can use to hang posters, it like a sticky putty. It is the pencil section of any drug store. I say that and a hot glue gun should be in every 3.75 collector’s arsenal..lol I use the hot glue on my battle droids to stand up. A drop behind the knees, a drop on the hips and a drop on his feet to stand up. And with all my sith and Jedi, I like to have them holding a saber and then I use a drop of hot glue to hold a hilt on the belt. It holds great but still comes off really easy. But ya on that Rex, which I ordered just Rex from someone on eBay I’m going to get my trusty razor out and cut those visor holders off and just toss the visor! Rock the casbah my friend! Happy new year!

Cut the left Frankenstein bolt off. Then cut the range finder off the binoculars and attach the range finder to the right Frankenstein bolt. 😁

I really like the look of the elite squad trooper.
I finally was able to get one yesterday, bought a second this morning and I'm gonna modify the helmet and fix the pauldron on my duplicate, and have one as the original. Don't really care to buy a third carded tho..
Great review got mine last Thursday good set of figures captain ballast definitely my favourite followed by elite squad trooper in close second
Could you take the helmet from the other Rex in VC? That’s only if you wanted to display with the helmet on… but yeah, those little bits where the visor is shouldn’t be there, very irritating. Hopefully they’ll release another one down the road 🙏🙏🙏 Thanks for the great review mate 👍
The other helmet isn’t a removable one, different joint too. Plus it’s on the small side.
It might be better if you have a mint box just to keep them all in that. That way if there are some that may be bent inside so no one will know and you can still sell it as mint! As long as the tape isn't broken on the seal!
I could easily see them rereleasing the Rex and Elite Squad Troopers in the main Vintage Collection line. For the EST, get him in the line for army building or even put him in those 4 packs that Hasbro has been doing recently. And for Rex, change a few things like the helmet design, the hair, and the pauldron and you have the best Captain Rex you could ask for (minus the Phase 1 helmet). Third times the charm as they say.
As long as we love clones, we will keep getting a rex till we get one we like. Personally I like this rex and anything I don't like from this one I can mod.
For the sake of enjoying the Rex figure I created a head-canon scenario where he went a while without getting a haircut at some point after order 66😁
I only want Rex,Echo,Hunter,Omega,Wrecker,Tech,Crosshair, and some Tk troopers mate!

It stinks that he's missing the welding lines on his chestplate but, if it would works, it could be worth it to buy a regular Rex and swap the helmet and pauldron over to this one.
Idea... Army builder pack, elite squad troopers with Crosshair in his individualised elite squad armour.
If no one else mentioned it, the Elite Squad are human recruits commanded by Clone Trooper Crosshair. The first step towards "modern" Stormtroopers and the first volunteers for the Empire.
Of course I'm waiting for them to be single carded already
Tim, this set will hopefully make is way to my collection. The Hasbro arctrooper 3-pk sold out and went to the secondary market with no real chance for me to purchase it(opportunists smh). This is my best chance to get Rex and other fan favorite clones. Your gripes are understandable, definite planning awry. It makes you wonder if it's questionable engineering or cost cutting that keeps this line from it's full potential 🤔 could be both.. I will try to enjoy mine as it is an exciting addition, best wishes for the New year 🎉

could you exacto the rangerfinder off the visor too and put it back on?
they claim the concept lie but hair is comeplete wrong color, its not blonde, its white ish, but there is a 212th trooper with this head, you can see him for a moment in rots, and think he shows up in cw

I’m assuming your both in the uk where you really have fight and fuck about to get the vintage collection figs, some of the retro collection have been in supermarkets, but with the absenc of toy shops, scalpers and supply problems , you end up getting off eBay eventually and if that’s something that’s been sought after ( droids boba for me) you know you’re paying at least twic the odds

I have to say, I love the set, this is exactly what I love about TVC (cool looking troopers) never seen an episode of the show, just love the look of the figs and cardbacks! 👌
They are mint condition that issue with the tab is a manufactured issue and should not affect the grade.
But only Rex had it?
Looks like a great set. Cannot wait for mine to arrive but we still have not got them in the USA yet. It's a pity about the Captain Rex figure but I'll keep these on card anyway and wait for my Black Series one to arrive from BBTS later in the year.

To bad I can never own that four pack because I refuse to pay scalper prices and missed out on the pre-order. Honestly I can live without them until the scalpers go bankrupt.
Agree with you on Rex. That is an awful error with the helmet. I missed this collection and amazon don't seem to be getting anymore, but I'll keep checking their stock. £100+ on ebay now.
Another flaw, is that the belts seem very small. The whole body is rather dainty. And even moreso with that big helmet. I hope they bring back the 2005 clone trooper mold and articulate it a little more and it's good to go.
Overall a nice set. Amazon is still showing my sets shipping in March, excited to get them!

Excellent review. Some suggestion if u may allow. The white background makes some figures not easily seen and felt a bit uncomfortable when watching for some time. May be just me.

Great review. The Elite Squad Troopers weren't Clones as I think one of them was a female. Weren't these the guys that Crosshair commanded? I have this set and I'm pretty peeved about Rex.....other then that the other 3 look awesome.

take the visor of of jeses helmet from the three pack and handdremill a hole and put plasticard over jeses helmet and paint over it
I feel like we need a definitive Clone Wars Rex figure released in 2022 (accurate head sculpt, good helmet, correct paint apps, etc.), what with Hasbro putting out both 501st and 332nd troopers this year. I have the repack Rex and to be honest it just doesn’t look good with the rest of my clones

Hey BB. I got mine from Amazon as well. Noticed a lot of these on Ebay for cray prices, but Amazon had it on for like $90 Canadian so that's a bit more reasonable. Was kid of on the fence about buy these and when I got them they were pretty disappointing. Wish I had seen this video of them out of the box because I probably wouldn't have got them. I don't like the skinny bodies. They look pretty rediculous with the helmets on. Anyways thanks again for the video
I don’t understand Bossk, how do you think the macros would go on without those notches? The macros were part of the art given to Hasbro by Lucasfilm so they were of course going to be included.

Thoughts; A SAD state indeed. *COULD ALL The BAD BATCH FIGURES BE ANY HARDER TO FIND ???* I Know 3 of 6 local Walmart's (an staff) well, NONE. NOTHING. EVER !!! And I Live in A Major Metropolitan City area. Why even try to collect anything not in A standard wave (includes All BAD BATCH figs). This goes for both VC & BS.
No offense Tim Bossk, but it's hard watching/ seeing all these figs- most of us will never be able to purchase. Outside of paying highly inflated Ebay prices for.
Can you easily remove the pauldron on the commanders to make them troopers? i'm thinking on getting a second set. thanks! great video

They really messed up Rex. I had a chance to get this pack for $35 but now it doesn't seam worth it

Just released on Amazon Australia yesterday so we are finally able to score this awsom set, great review as usual and hope they fix Rex's helmet down the line for another release

and the female in black clone armor, say suppose to be the female becuz she was only one to use the dc 15 blaster rifle, vs pistol blaster, and rex has a few problems,
Kinda glad I missed out on that preorder , Rex is disappointing, howzer helmet looks too big , paint off on grey. Elite squad only one ok imo
I was also disappointed with Rex’s helmet, although I still do love the figure. I thought there would be pegs on the visor/rangefinder and holes in the helmet like every other figure (even Lego do that) not the other way around.
It also disappoints me that they clearly knew it was a bad decision, because they hid it in the promo photos (in the only photo where you see the helmet without the visor, it isn’t on his head and the pegs are obscured behind the Kama/legs.
also want know outside name being wrong why rex is not right per show looks, only the helmet and marks on arm are right, none of his chest or leg designs are on this figure, i have a few and cut the peg off helmet, and glued range finder on, but just not painted right,
