I think Trump exhausted the “bad example” category for COVID pretty early last year. People, (well, Democrats at least), aren’t stupid, we know the difference. We understand CDC guidelines are for people using public transport like airline planes, trains and busses, or traveling long distances by car and needing to use hotels, restaurants, etc.- and on their way to meet other people or stay in a hotel for a vacation.
People who have access to, (essentially), private planes traveling to their own, empty private homes? Ya, people with brains know they aren’t putting themselves or others at risk and that’s no excuse for us to go hop on a plane to visit grandma or go on vacation.
Besides, everyone knows the score by now. People are going to do what they are going to do. Biden making an empty gesture of secluding in the White House won’t change a single mind or undo the year of horrific damage Trump did.
But keep being a hypocrite, it’s basically the art if being a Republican these days.

My aunt is a second grade teacher. She had a whole lesson plan for the month and a father of color asked to opt out. She had a very productive conversation with him that led to her completely overhauling her lesson plan. He said he absolutely wanted his child to learn about black history in the USA, but that he first wanted for them to learn the positive impacts the people have brought and then when the child is older to bring in the heavier dark parts.
