      @@carlpatrickragas2159 I believe the wizards in a series had a way better chance vs the nets because kyrie would’ve been a liability. He’s too small for Westbrook and the wizards are good at rebounding. Wizards are 8th in rebounds and the Celtics are 15th, also it doesn’t matter how good the Celtics play defense they’re not gonna outscore the nets. The wizards are 3rd in offense so they would’ve had a possible chance of winning at least 2 games maybe 3. Now what happened between the Celtics vs wizards I’ll say was a very bad game by everybody and it happens idk if they tried to avoid the nets or what.

    • @TheMissinLink
      @TheMissinLink 3 роки тому +1

      @@russellwestbrook9707 Wizards play at the highest pace in the league while the Cs are in the bottom 10. Those totals do not tell the whole story. Cs actually have a fairly decent edge when it comes to actual rebounding percentages, Offensive and Defensive(not that this would have actually made much of a difference anyway). And the Wizards offense is only ranked 17th fam. You’ve got to account for pace of play when talking about Offense and Defense. PPG and PPGA doesn’t tell you a whole lot. Nets would’ve obliterated the Wiz, atleast the Celtics have some ability to match up with the Nets Big 3 defensively with Smart, Tatum and guys like Ojeleye if their on their A game.

I remember back in okc seeing him just ignore everyone on the court to pull up and miss or just turn the ball over again and again. Kd was always so frustrated and the simple solution should've been to give kd the ball every possession under 4 minutes and get out the way. I feel as if westbrook gets too emotional too passionate about closing out games, causing him to be irrational in his decision making late in games. HOF player but definitely can't win championships with him unless he realizes this. Okc should've been a dynasty. There is a reason he has went on team after team and failed to advance. I agree with you coach that they should have doubled Tatum but in certain possessions it would be quite difficult. Say in 6:10 if Westbrook goes to double, and Nesmith flashes to the open space in the middle and Tatum hits him, Lopez is left to guard 2 on 1. And if Matthews comes down to help, unless they rotate in time, itll be an open corner 3. Tatum hit a tough shot at 6:10. So again I agree they should have doubled but it depends on the personnel on the floor and spacing

But to construct sth like lack of support out of him leaving early is ridiculous. He was so frustrated, mostly with his own game I'd suppose, after the amazing stretch he had to have a stinker right in this so important game. That must've frustrated him so much. But I hope he'll bounce back and help them to crush the Pacers and play a competetive first round. An oh coach, do you really think Russ wanted to lose to avoid playing KD? I'm not buying that either team would throw a guaranteed playoff spot away just to hopefully get to play the 1 seed 76ers instead. No team would intentionally lose to put themselves into a win or go home game for a chance to play a 1 seed instead of a 2. Teams that low in the standings who risk missing the playoffs entirely don't think that way. Nick says a lot of insightful things, but that was just dumb.

    The play-in makes no sense!!!
    The NBA and the media is trying to fabricate interest and say that it creates excitement. It does not! Teams who want to be in the playoffs will be there and no matter how you extend the net to try and get top 10 teams interested, if they are not interested then you'll see underwhelming games as you did yesterday. It only put the teams who want to be in the playoffs at risk of injury which further could jeopardize the interest of the actual playoffs.
    The play-in and it rules are very randon as well. Why have the 7th play the 8th at all. Why not have the 7th play the 10th and the 8th play the 9th and have the top seed only needing to beat the lower seed once while the lower seed needing to beat the top seed twice. That makes more sense to me rather than having the teams that earn the top spot playing each other. None of it makes sense, just hype and no substance.
