One great thing about BMW is that even the cheaper/entry level models have all the necessary rider assist and safety systems. BMW is the best in that subject
I rode the 2016 S1000RR extensively, and it needed no modifications, IMO. I always told people to just save up money, buy the S1000RR, and do nothing else. It has all of the power and performance you need. Don't buy a CBR1000 and spend a bunch of money on upgrades.
Miss driving through St Pete and Clearwater...and Largo. See so many bikers, and nice cars too. I nearly blew my 95 Avalon and 02 Taurus up on the Howard Franklin. That bridge just screams "Do the dash"

When you suddenly press the clutch and take off the gas, you hear a strange thump? Thank you for your answer

As I'm sure others have said, slick mode is on all S1000RRs. I've left my 2011 S1k in slick mode ever since I bought it.. no electronic nannies, just bike and rider in perfect unison
