Hey Tom, looks like you got it sealed off pretty good. Since getting a Cajun Bandit ring noticed one way it fits the WSM and turned over fits the kettle. The kettle has the rolled edge and the WSM has the lip.
Thanks for Watching Elliot! Actually at the time they had both available, this one was on sale and I bought not knowing what I was getting, this was my fix for it. Weber sold them like that at one point to. Good info, I appreciate you sharing
I like your solution better than the one shown on Amazon. Looks like someone used aluminum foil to fill the gap. I've got this on my wish list for now. Thanks Tom.
Hey Tom! I always enjoy when you get the power tools out! That was a good idea using that flat bar....it does bend easy. Might have to still add the gasket material.....maybe? Like You said......."what were they thinking"????? Maybe that's why they call themselves......"Only Fire"!!! :-) \m/
I’m getting an only fire for Christmas. They have modified the design so it fits better on the Weber 22” kettle.
Thanks for Watching! Congrats!

Based on Phils review and others, the Cajun Bandit is the way to go!
Just letting everyone watching this, this is an older model. The one available now has a lip that fits over the kettle.

The Only Fire I bought on April 16, 2018 for a lWeber doesn't have this gap. it has a flange that fits over the Weber. Big improvement.
