Do note that this is the i3-1315u being referred to, and not the i3-N305.

The previous generation had an IPS display and backlit keyboard. This seems a downgrade in that department.
The i3-1315u is not a huge jump from the i3-1215u. Unless it is paired with a fast DDR5 RAM and an equally fast Gen4 SSD.
Problem is, such a combination does not exists. And even if it does, it is overpriced.
Best value is in getting the HP 15s-fq5007TU or the Asus Vivobook 15X OLED i3-1215u.
There's another variant of the Vivobook 16x. Instead of the 5600H, there's i3-1315u. It is better because of a big bright (300nits) display and a backlit keyboard.
However not a single soul on the planet has reviewed it on UA-cam. I have dug up the internet, but no luck.

There is roughly a 5% performance delta between the two, in both single and multi-core performance.
The 1315u is ahead in single core, while the 1220p takes the lead in multi-core.
Neither difference is significant.
However, because the 1220p is a P-series processor which runs on TDP of 28W, the 1315u is a U-series processor which only consumes 15W, while offering roughly the same performance.
Also, the iGPU in 1315u is based on the newer Xe-architecture (still 64EUs though) with a slightly boost clock speed of 1.25GHz vs 1.10GHz found on the 1220p.
Finally, an improved thread director in the 13th gen series might further improve power efficiency.
So, despite offering similar performance, the 1315u does so, while consuming lesser power.

Actually almost all laptops are able to run these apps without a dedicated GPU. Only display matters the most because of colour accuracy.

Clearly, the Vivobook is better.

This has a backlit keyboard, but loses the fingerprint reader.
Now your review is the *_only_* litmus test which can determine whether the display is any good. If it is as bad as the ones found on HPs and Lenovos, or is it 'good enough'...

DDR5 SO-DIMM form factor is currently expensive to produce, so you'll most likely find it on either high end machines or in the LPDDR5 (Low power) form factor, which comes soldered, hence cannot be upgraded.
*Acer Aspire 5* Core i3-1315u has non-upgradeable 8GB LPDDR5 RAM along with Gen4 SSD and a backlit keyboard. But of what use is a processor like i3-1315u running on just 8GB RAM.
Windows itself consumes 4GB of RAM.
