Funny when I said double trouble i was just joking around, but it does have a nice ring to it. Of all the things I thought I might find on the beach that day a merc wasn't even on my radar lol. I recognized it as a mercury dime, but it took a second for it to sink in 😂. Definitely made my day thanks for watching my friend!

Yes the mild winters here are probably my favorite time of the year to detect. Now the hot summers where the temps hit 3 digits for months at a time are pretty rough lol still go detecting just have to keep plenty of cold water on hand.

Really enjoyed this my friend I’ve had a simplex plus for a couple of years and wasn’t quite sure which direction to go next however I’m definitely going to buy myself a double score rather than the legend 👍 thanks again 🤘
Going from the simplex the double score would be a great upgrade. Pretty easy detector to learn and very capable. Anything from relic hunting to beach hunting the DS can do it all and still easy to use. Thanks for watching and happy hunting!

Yes I am very impressed with that DS aka little legend just watching videos on it this will be my next backup detector I like that the sounds and the vdi is on par with the legend which to me will make it very enjoyable.
Hey congrats on the merc dime that was awesome heck just watching you bro I almost got as excited as you did, I look forward to more videos from you and can't wait til you do a park hunt with it as that's mostly what I do except for an occasional old home site hunt I live here in W. TN so no big beaches in this area but the plans are I am retired now and in a couple years when my wife retires is to travel a little and hit some places along the way.
Well you will be in luck cause I plan on doing a lot of park hunts with DS soon. The ds is do much like the legend when you are out swinging a couple times I forgot which machine I was swinging. Very on par as far as performance just an easier interface. Now you do lose some ability to customize, but so far I haven't missed it. My long term plan is to be able to have both detectors in the truck but set up differently. Have the legend set up with the lg24 and the higher recovery speed for tot lots and trashy areas of the park. Then the DS with the sc30 coil to hunt around baseball and soccer fields to cover more area and set with a mid to low recovery speed for a little more depth. Should be a good combo.

I am presently using the Legend, and enjoying it, but would like something a bit more simple. I know my headphones would be compatible, and hoping my LG24 will work on it.
Well if you like the legend and want something a little more simple the DS might be perfect for you. At times swinging I would almost forget that it was the DS and not the legend lol. I too like to keep things simple. I actually like to factory reset my legend about once a month. I have a pretty simple way I like to set it up so its not a big deal. Just like to know everything is set fresh and nothing changed in the background that i forgot about lol.

Funny how you can never really guess what or where you'll find something lol. I've found a few mostly by old baseball fields. That one definitely surprised me.

That would have been nice. The next day I thought I had a silver quarter because it wiped so clean, but it was a 1965 😥 lol
Nice video. In your opinion is the Double score a Legend with less features. I own a Vanquish 540 and I love the turn on and go. I want a waterproff detector and I'm leaning Double Score because it has features my 540 doesn't but it appears to be less complicated to use then the Legend. What is your opinion. Thanks
IMO if that's what you are looking for the double score would be a great option. It has very similar performance as the legend but a much easier interface.

I wish someone would get in the water with it I want to see if it is good in the water before I buy one
Well it was kind of cold that day so I wouldn't have recommended getting wet lol. I did dip the coil in the water just to see how it would react and it stayed running smooth. Had the whole coil under the water. Not sure how good of a test that was, but till it warms up a little that was as far as I could go.

Well the sand was pretty wet so they did keep my pants dry lol.
@@TheTexanDetector 🤠 I live in San Antonio....Just to have a chance to metal detect the beach, I wouldn't give a DAMN about getting my pants wet --- Especially using a metal detector good for 15 feet underwater 😂!!!!
( That's be like me wearing a Wet Suit and Scuba Gear in the shower 😝)
