Thanks for this explanation, I only recently started playing again (last time was somewhere in early access). I've been buying the expensive/faster horses for no good reason it seems. I just assumed it would increase the base speed. Hope you will make more videos like these as there are probably more little things I haven't figured out. Keep up the good work, its refreshing to hear calm explanations on youtube.
I did the exact same thing, I would travel for ages to get the Aserai horses. When I realised it didn't matter I could have kicked myself! I have 16 other guides to do about various mechanics in game so hopefully some of them will be useful to you :-)
Never seen open stash before. what is that? I really appreciate your vid as they are current. there WERE a ton of top tier creators for this and they have moved on and there stuff is a year old. My son and I just bought the game so up to date stuff is nice.
Just trying to be helpful :-) The stash is available once you get a castle or town of your own. You can keep things there so like if you wanted to do a 100% cavalry army for a bit you can put all your horses in your castle so you don't get the herding penalty. If you are new to the game join one of the kingdoms as a vassal and they will give you a town or castle fairly quickly. I would recommend Vlandia to new players as they are aggressive and quite tough. Any questions just shout up I will help if I can!
The logic for night is that every is slowed down but you. From tier 1-2 it is better and you can respect later. Trust your army of 50 sharpshooters will love being able to catch those 10-15 sized sea raiders and mountain bros.
Always good advice mate. Can you do a video on scouting. Can a companion assigned as scout give the party the 50% less chance prisoner escape or does that have to be your own perks?
No you don't get the bonus if its on a party member it has to be you. Just take the riding one. Combining the riding and scouting ones is overpowered but isn't necessary. Perks say on them party leader / captain / personal/ governor to tell you how they will effect you.
Take them to the desert hideouts in Aserai lands they are easy. Let them do all the killing and retreat before you fight the leader at the end then you can go back and fight them again the next day
If you are new to the game I would recommend being a vassal until you are more comfortable with the mechanics of the game. If you are set on your own kingdom wait for a city to rebel, attack one of their villager groups to provoke a war then siege the city.

Good point
Night lasts only 4hours of in game time while day is 20hours. It’s not really worth at any point
