Build your table, drop data variable fields into the table cells, and apply styles to the fields. If you want new rows to appear or disappear based on your data you’ll need to find a different variable data tool. InDesign is too basic for that type of advanced functionality.
Hey Chad, wondering if I could do a modified, but seemingly simpler variation of this technique for what I'm trying to do. Say I have 50 unique images. I already have a very basic page layout. I just want InDesign to add the first image to a page, create another page just like it, and then insert the next image, and so on. When I'm done, I would have 50 pages, each with an image on it. Seems simple. Doable?
great tutorial, thank you! I need a data merge in a table on one page (the rows with paragraph styles), looking for it.

Yes this is doable. Your spreadsheet needs to have a row for each image file path. You'll end up with a PDF with a new image on each page.
Hey Chad. If I have spaces in my image's file path, how do I reflect that in the source file?
I've not had problems with spaces in the file path name entered into Excel. You should be able to use spaces just like any other character.
Can you help about how can Male Handtag barcode Automation in design
InDesign doesn't support barcodes that I'm aware. There may be a plug in but it can't convert numbers to a barcode.
