- Ruger Mini 14 in Archangel Chassis. Barrel has been cut and threaded, then a muzzle extension and flash hider pin and welded to it. It improved the ergonomics for me #ruger #mini14 #limitedcapacity #nuetered #556 #556nato #556x45 #msr #diy #alaska #winteriscoming
Thanks for the vid. All other videos of this stock are 7+ years old. I personally thinks it looks clean. Slightly reminds me of a SG 553.
Thanks. It has since moved along, but wanted to put something out there before I sent it forward.
1st round = flash hider forgot it was a flash hider
That green tip ammo loves to burn bright
Had the same stock on my minifor a few years, Be careful if you disassemble it to often, the built in threads for the bolts on mine just fell out, and the metal hooks used to attach the top rail to the bottom chassis are easily broken off..gonna save up and get the Samson A-tm stock..
Thanks for the tip
Looks clean with that chassis system on there. Definitely get an upgrade in the looks department. And the Mini-14 is just a cool rifle. A-Team would be proud of you.
Thank you kindly
Cost abbout 216 to 250 dollars. Very easy to assemble. Someone said something about the screws and thats very true. They strip super easy and other things. My fave tactical will still be the tapco with the 6 position stock. Earth tione looks grea and even the the sights on it (picatiny with the fin) work great. Shes gone tho. Jus in pics
I did run into a stripped screw as I bought the stock second hand got it all cleaned up.
I love that rifle
It is a cool platform
I'm currently using an ati strikeforce stock with an accustrut on my mini-14
Beautiful gun!
Thanks! It is for some, and not for others.
Thing is stooooopid heavy. So regretted gettin one
do not forget to skip bicep curls bud!
Facts, I have one on mine and like you said shit like 50 pounds for no reason...so mine see more corner time then anything...🤷♂️
Ruger’s new home gym
Very cool
Some like modernization of the platform, some don’t. Glad you liked it.
@@Fusil_priming_llc I like it.
Thank you
Did your mods improve accuracy when all was said and done? I love mini14s.
Honestly, I never tested for accuracy.
I've had one for over 20 years. Im waiting for my samson folder shipped early. thx folks at samson manufacturing
The Samson is a cool folder!
Was this a slap together kinda kit or did you have to force it to work, im looking at this kit but im hoping its just a put togetger kit
The chassis is drop in.
Im thinking of getting this stock do you think its possible to install a rail for a front grip
I believe the newer versions have removable panels but I am not 100% on this. If nothing else you could get some quality hardware and DIY.
How heavy is these compare to polymer/wood featureless stock?
They are heavier, but absorb recoil better
👍
Are you selling this upgrades for mini 14?
I am not. They are easily found online though.
Looks big and
It was a little heavy
Imntrying to sell mine. Its soooo heavy lol looks amazing tho
good luck with that locally. do not forget bi cep day though.
Почём ценник обвеса?
Sorry, I don not understand
@@Fusil_priming_llc
Спрашиваю про стоимость доработки и обвеса.
I ask about the cost of refinement and body kit.
I think they run $200 in usa
I’m waiting to the assault weapons ban to be removed in CA. I might be a very old man haha. But I’d buy one for my mini
We shall be free 🎼🎼
Price about??..
I am not selling, but my cost to build was around $750
@@Fusil_priming_llc Ok. Thanks..
No worries. Donor Ruger, doner stock
I've owned a half dozen Minis and 18 AR-15s over the years.
For a fraction of the cost of a modified Mini 14, you could simply purchase a Smith and Wesson M&P 15 Sport II for less than $600.
Mini 14 rifles are for old-school "Boomers" like me and people who live in areas and states where the AR is banned. The wood-stocked, featureless versions (Model 5801) are especially desirable, since they don't terrify the stupid or uninitiated.
No, it's not as accurate as a high-end AR. My 2020 Series 584, however, achieves 1.5 to 2moa groups at 100 yards with a Leupold scope on a bench rest. That's good enough.
I purchased it for home defense, not shooting paper or steel targets 200 yards away. In an actual defensive situation, I'll be shooting at someone or something less than 100 FEET away.
I owned ARs by FNH, BCM, S&W, Colt, and Sig. I guess I just finally "got over" them and went back to the Mini. I don't regret it. I've owned M1 Garands and M1As as well.
Some of us still prefer wood, steel and leather to plastic, aluminum and nylon.
I respect the desire to stick with what you know and love. This was more of a what can we do. To be fair, it ended up fenced off anyhow. I prefer the AC556 and Side Folder versions.
To each their own. I like the polymer look.
But dad why can't I be a boomer
I will always love the wood stocks instead of this Synthetic Crap.

That rifle is ruined.
The excellent irons replaced with cheap plastic flip-uos, the barrel is shorter leading to lower velocity, and the stock is now fat, chunky, and clunky.
There are only two upgrades if you really want to do anything in the first place. A Tech sight rear sight and an Amega scout rail.
Everyone is entitled to an opinion
@@Fusil_priming_llc it is a perspective, not an opinion. My perspectives are based on experience, knowledge, and objectivity regarding performance.
Note, each fault listed is backed up by an objective fact.
Me saying that the mini is now ugly as sin would have been an opinion.
Man if your gonna make it look like that just buy AR-15 would have been cheaper and to be honest I think it's de valued
To each their own.
Yeah, that mini is trashed now.
A stock mini 14 is slim and minimalist with iron sights that are good to go out of the box.
If you want optics, an Amega scout rail is all you need.
@@nicks2581
I put the raised picatiny rail that mounts to scope mounts Ranch rifle and Holoson HS503 directly on top of where shell ejects and it seems perfect
Was worried she's would contact rail or optic but they dont
@@drifter9425 that works too especially with regular scopes, LPVIs, and the like; I ran my mini like that for some time. The only reason I switched rails was to have the ability to quickly switch to irons or to run a scout scope vs a red dot.
I found that the Amega scout rail also acts as a heat sink drawing heat away from the barrel. I compared it to the mini I have that still has the plastic heat shield and was amazed at how much the scout rail mini tended to cool off quicker.
Makes sense as aluminum is quick to heat up, but does a poor job at maintaining heat. 😁
This is like putting ugly tattoos on a woman with the beautiful face in the world. why would you ruin the beauty of a garand rifle like this?
Umm, not a garand, but thanks
@@Fusil_priming_llc any gun that uses the rotating bolt and gas block designs of the m1 garand are using the garand action
ruined
🤷♂️
ugly chassis.
It is not the best looking, but some people like it.
There's nothing that has ever been cool about the mini 14. Ever.
I guess that really depends on your perspective
Its ok to be wrong
