A 5bld mean is probably my ultimate goal for cubing. And seeing someone do just that is super inspiring! Congrats! Now you dont need to compete in 5bld ever again lol
Congrats! I didnt know we were both 23 year olds that started cubing in 2012. Unfortunately I didnt start competing until this year. I've gotten a 5bld mean at home, but obviously its much harder in comp. This is truly a huge accomplishment! Great job DG!

And yeah I actually used to be really into FMC in 2018 but I fell out of it before the advent of domino reduction so I'm not very competitive anymore. I'm definitely interested in learning proper domino reduction and practicing again someday but it's not a high priority right now, partially because FMC attempts take so long (and blind events are a little more fun for me when I do have an hour to kill) :P

But there's a new categorization of memberships made a few years back that added opal and diamond above platinum, and tweaked the requirements a bit - by that metric I'm a gold member. I can't find any updated list of the memberships online though so idk what people consider the truth now :P
