My homies all pitched in and gave me this lens as a birthday gift. It's an amazing lens that does not leave my camera i love it!
It's hardly left my camera as well. I use it so much I'm concidering changing the foam lining in my camera case to just have it attached by default.

Got this lens a couple months ago for my ZV-E10 and have barely touched any of my primes since. I find the size to be great especially with a cage on the camera body.
It’s the first zoom I’ve been happy to replace primes with when in a pinch!
I've been considering getting a zoom lense for my ZV-E10 and I think you've sold me on this one. Thanks for the recommendation!
@@andrehall5747 I think its worth it!
How is the stabilization on the lens? Really good?
i had this lens and i just sold it. it is an amazing lens!! versatile, sharp, good quality.. altho it is quite heavy (no problem for me), i still it is highly recommended lens!
the reason why i sold it because i just prefer prime lens.
I have the ZV-E10 and this Tamron lens. It's simply the best. I love the filmic look to it-- softer around the edges-- and generally looks like it could be a movie. With an ND filter, it's literally is the only setup I use (unless I want faster aperture, in which case I'll pull out the ol' Sigma 16mm). It makes me want to make a TON more videos.
I haven't gotten this lens yet, but it'll be my standard zoom for my A6700, there is no equivalent in FF, 25-105mm f2.8 in FF would be HUGE. I shot m4/3 for awhile when I was shooting a lot of outdoor sports, mainly because of the 40-150mm f2.8 (80-300) to replicate that in FF also be huge. I think it's a unique proposition to APS-C. Like the video, thanks!
I have both zv-e10 & a6700, recently I also ended up purchasing tamron over sigma due to availability issue. But I didn't releasied that I barely change my lensi get mostof my shots with Tamron only and love it. Although I am planning to sell my zv-e10 (very hard decision) :'(.
Yep definitely going to order this!
Hello nice Video. Can you explain the camera settings i have to choose, that the lence stabilisation works?
The Tamron 17-70mm 2.8 is my daily driver...
First lens I bought and still my most used lens. That 17-70 is just a great focal range, and f/2.8 with that bit of zoom is solid. I mean, I WISH it could be f/2.0 or such, but I think it is such a great value lens with weight being the only drawback compared to others. Performance is great.
Basically all of the Tarmon zoom lenses are the same exact size. Ones may be a bit heavier than others bit for me thats what I like most about Tamron. They are consistently similar in size and shape (and barrel diameter). I have this lens and I can agree its my favorite APS-C lens. Versatile af and the images out of it are impressive. I also put it in my full frame and shoot Super 35 from time to time when I need that constant aperture
yeah i think its a great option on super 35 especially if you crop in for 4k120/ibis etc
Use this on my fx30...it's an awesome do everything lens!
Totally agree!
Dude i need help: i got fx30 with 17-70 VC and it stabilizes pretty weird, i see some freezes and rough moves on my shots
@@focusproductionarts what shutter speed and frame rate?
It’s a great lens! I use the Sony 18-105 f4 which is amazing but it sucks for low light. ❤
I havent tried that one yet
Question : this or the sigma 18-50??
Having the 17-70 too i can say its absolutely worth it. And i have seen all the videos between the sigma, the tamron and the sony (16-55). I say go with the cheapest one you can get, because they are all really good glass. I would take any of these 3.
Im between this one and the 18-105
i was happy with mine until i accidentally fumbled it about 2ft onto carpet but I guess the fall was enough to mess with the gears and now the mounting ring is too tight and the zoom and focus gears are wonky. great image and range for low cost but after this I understood why it was so affordable. I switched to Sigma 18-50 because it was a lot smaller and easier to use. For anyone considering this lens, its a good lens just be careful with it!
Ive done similar things with other lenses, carpet seems nice and soft for dropping things but the right angle and it can be enough to break stuff!
Been rocking the 17-70 for a couple months rn and its just soo good. Besides that I got the sony 11mm 1.8
Great video as always & so so helpful!!✨
I’m trying to decide between this and the Sigma 18-50 for my Sony zve10 …would be so curious to hear your thoughts.
I own that🥳 it's phenomenal
Nice vid thanks! Subbed.
Thanks!
I concur with this video. I just want one lens, and ive found that in my Tamron. It's a beauty
I got the ZV-E-10 & the tamron lens but am still very lost as to what settings are needed for a podcast setting shoot. Would you happen to have a video on that? Or a settings setup? Or if you even need to adjust settings with the lens
This lens have a issue, I have a fuji version, is the second one the first one after a few jobs I notice dust in the front elements. It was in 30 days return policy, so I sent it back
I installed a uv filter in the new one, since it looks like it helps with dust, but after a few months I have already a few dust particles.
This seams to be a issue also with other tamron lens.
Hi Sir.
Could you please make a video comparison between Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8 aps-c & Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 FE. As the FE lens has dropped its price, now it's less than the Aps-c in India.
Thanks for the info, can I use this lens with a6700 for wedding photography and videography?
Why my battery draining fast with this lens
My old weebil s is even bouncing the zve-10 with a tamron 17-70 😂
There's really no advantages anymore to get primes tbh. They are just a sharp now lol. This isn't 1982. Literally the only reason I originally had primes was because I thought only real filmmakers used primes lmao. That's until I used a solid zoom, Never went back. I don't even own a prime.
It's good thing. But I think it's too big for me. I prefer the Sigma 1850 lens.
I am between this one or the sony 16-55 2.8 , which one would you recommend?
I personally went with the Tamron as it is much less expensive and offers lens stabilization along with it. I find most Sony G/GM lenses are too expensive compared to the quality of third party lenses. Not saying they’re bad, they are great! But you can’t beat the price of the Tamron options
Hej! I wonder if you use stabilisation both on camera and on the lens at the same time, or if you switch off the stabilisation on the camera and leave only that of the lens
Buena pregunta. Yo uso el Tamron 18-300 que tiene el mismo tipo de estabilizador y ambos juntos funcionan muy bien. Uso la a6700.
Does the Tamron lens VC compete with the a6700's IBIS? There's a lot of mixed reviews on this stating that the VC can sometimes lead to weird jitters when shooting handheld with the a6700 (ibis on) Thank you!!
This is what stopping me from buying the lens.. but with all the research i did this can happen ofter with fx30.. im not sure how is it with the a6700 ..
i'm buying a sony zv-e10, i'm a dj and i'd like to take videos mainly from the public's point of view to record my music drops. which lens would you recommend?
Took me 2yrs to Buy The camera, Gonna take another 2yrs to Buy The Lens 😂 😂 Kit Lens for now
No facts bro 😂😂😂😂😂😂 ur funnt
😅 🤭 🙂
zve10 sucks
Y're not funny😂
This video was the deciding factor for me as I had been wanting to get new lens for my ZV-E10. Thank you this was extremely helpful 👌keep em coming🙌
When are you going to make a video comparison between the ZV e10 and the a6700 to se the difference between 8 and 10 bit video
I just subscribed, you have a very good voice and explanation on this Bro, and I love the colors of your video honestly. More power on your channel!
Whats the preference? Zoom VS Prime?
Like them both, but when I shoot with zoom, I say I wish I had a prime less than the other way around. Still, horses for courses.
I hope you also review the Sigma 18-50 (just to compare). I’d like to hear your point of view if the compact size and lower weight makes up for no OSS and shorter focal length.
I recently bought the Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 and loved it. However it is now on its way to MPB and I have bought the Tamron instead. Just that extra bit of focal length plus the lens stabilisation made my mind up to change. As good as the Sigma is, I like to shoot street photography at dusk or night and my A6000 doesn't have IBIS so the Tamron will be much better for me in that sense.
such a well balanced lens, very versatile, can't agree more, this lens saved so much time changing prime ones.
Having a smaller and lighter lens is definitely nice and preferable, especially for apsc bodies. But if you take something like a Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 to a client shoot, the client will think of you as a joke. That's obviously an unfair assessment, because that little lens produces. But if you want to use your camera for paid gigs rather than fun vacation shooting with your apsc body, then you will most likely have an easier time finding jobs with a bigger lens. And let's be real, the Tamron 17-70 truly isn't all that big or heavy. Its just big in comparison to the camera body or the sigma lens. I have bigger and heavier primes for my a6600.
I love my Tamron 17-70mm. Its lives on my FX30 but I got it for my a6400 at first. I did have a Viltrox 23mm F1.4 E Prime. I really liked it till it broke, it stopped focusing accurately and no longer has manual focus control. I also have a 9mm Laowa Prime manual focus lens. It was great for the little bit of real estate I did shoot. But I mostly use it now for landscape photography and time leapses. If I was to get another prime I'm really interested in the new Viltrox 27mm that just came out.
The new Viltrox pro line is really intriguing, hoping to get my hands on them!
You use this lens without steadyshoot? So just with the built in optical stabilisation?
I had both turned on.
The downside of the lens is that its image stabilization does not work well with Sony's FX30 IBIS, it gives a warp effect in the corners. And you cannot turn lens stabilization off without turning ibis off in the camera. It is not a great choice for the fx30, but good for zv-e10, since this camera does not have ibis
Zv e10 with Sony 11mm 1.8 video would be good for next one. I can’t make it sharp image.
I bought the ZV-E10 because of its small size. Therefore the Sigma 18-50 was my choice to go. I'm searching now for a "small" tele lens and really think about the Tamron 18-300 as an all in one travel option. 🤷♂️
I was looking for my first lens on my zv e 10, and I think u convinced me
I have that lens love it now I just need a 70-200mm
Just ordered, for product images for social media. The zve10 kit lense is great but needed the upgrade. Can't wait to play around with it. Thanks for your video review.
which lence is better for wedding purposes tamron 17-70 OR sony 18-105
Depends which camera you’re using, if you have a full frame camera go with the 18-105, if you have apsc I’d go 17-75
This is exactly the setup I bought my wife for mother's day 3 years ago.
We have been loving this lens with the ZVE10 to save our family memories.
I will purchase the Sony E 11mm f1.8 sometime this year to get those ultrawide low light environment shots, but the Tamron 17-70mm f2.8 has been covering us for everything and its so light!!
I need to step up my Mother’s Day gifts! Lol
Dude, I love your videos. You're the best storyteller
