I agree. I can go on like a 5 hour binge of your stuff ( I have chronic illness, it's not wasting any time I don't already have haha don't worry, unfortunately I'm already just in bed doing nothing). I love other sustainability channels too but yours is definitely the most calming and the one I can watch the longest.

Same here, I noticed I only journal when I am feeling bad. When my life is good, my journal stays put and so the content of my journal is pretty depressing 😀 Luckily, the dates are usually pretty far apart 😀

It's difficult putting yourself out there on the internet because people are so hard sometimes. Your goal of changing people's perception and behaviour is such a worthy one though, and let me tell you, you DO make a world of difference!
I have learnt so much, and I have become so much more open thanks to you.
Take care of yourself, Immy 😘

I’ve been journaling for a year, even on the good days, and I love it because it makes me realize what my inner dialogue is
I use it a lot to reaffirm the positive things in my life and make me feel I’m actually doing things that are worth it
But on the other hand, I’ve seen it’s no that productive for me to just journal when I feel bad
I need to get out of my head and tell a friend because sometimes I let the negative thoughts win
And sharing that with people that are in a similar position makes me feel that, even if I have concerns or fears, those shouldn’t stop me from getting the courage I need and change
So glad it’s been helping you! Loved the whole vibe of the video, your editing is always so beautiful!

I really appreciate that fact that you were realistic and didn't make journaling out to be a catch-all solution for your worries. I feel like so often when we're feeling down, we just want something to make it all better, but there isn't some big thing that will do that. Like you said, I think journaling is a wonderful tool in the bigger toolbox of things that can help us feel better and organize our minds and thoughts and actions one piece at a time.

Really enjoyed this video, loved seeing you write your journal too! I started keeping a journal myself three weeks ago, and I just try to document my day because writing about my feelings sometimes feels too much/confronting! This method helps me too since it makes me feel like having a grip on my days and it's a very calming activity to just reflect and write. A journal with me video would be so nice!!

I've journaled since I was about 8 years old and it was just because my mum gave me a journal. I never did it for anxiety so I don't associate it with just anxiety relief, but it does provide anxiety relief. I try to remember to journal when things are going really well too because it's so nice to look back at happy memories too. And then some things I look back at are straight up hilarious/embarrassing but still valuable to recognise how much I've grown as a person hahaha

I have been journaling since past 1 year and it is a life changing experience. At 1st it was only 10 -15 minutes reflection daily but later after 6 months it went up to the point 2 hours of stream of consciousness writing which was pure bliss and it was a extremely powerful source of release!

Loved this video! I love journaling and your video really inspired me to love it more! I used to get intimidated by a beautiful, blank journal and almost never used it...just admired it. Once I figured out that I needed a journal with prompts, it's been so much better! (though I still love buying journals...lol) Right now, The Five Minute Journal and The 6 Minute Journal are my favorites. I also have my Commonplace Book (would love an update on your book!), which is so fantastic to add to. Thank you!! *hug*

I so wish I wrote more! There's things that I always am like "I need to remember this moment" and I want to be able to look back and read moments that I captured later.... but then I only have the physical energy to actually do it when I'm furiously angry hahaha. It sucks right?! Why won't I be able to ever look back on happy moments like moving to a new great place or great trips or falling in love or like, really great things?! I just can't bring myself the energy to do it. And I wish I could.
Also, thank you so much for not showing HOW to journal. I really hate people showing what they think journaling should look like. I think that can be so toxic. Journaling looks so different to everyone and I just don't get why people feel the need to make it look a certain way or tell others to make theirs look the same way as them! I remember when I finally let go of the idea of making it pretty and ended up writing all over the pages and sometimes it'd be in circles or upside down or really small or a bit bigger just totally depending on how I was feeling and how I was sitting and all kinds of things and it was so freeing. It doesn't matter how it looks, it just matters what you're writing and if you can read it and that you're doing it at all.... if it works for you that's the part that matters. Getting caught up in it looking nice was such a toxic thing for me and I bet that can really make something like journaling, that's supposed to be so therapeutic, be even more anxiety provoking for a lot of people and that's really sad!

It's a shame that the world is so full of frustrated people that those who create real value need to feel embarassed or odd or anxious cause of them. :( I guess social media is the current platform for this, but this frustration has always been the plague of the society.
For me, your videos have always been gift: showing several things I didn't know before, telling me things about the context you're coming from, or just saying out loud what I'm feeling deep inside.

I started journaling in 6th or 7th grade and I could not recommend it enough. I literally think my mental health would be completely different if not for journaling. I think it also helps you to think objectively about your thoughts. Also I agree with you and I use my journal in place of talking about my problems.

I just want to say that you are not alone. A lot of us, actually everybody, struggles with being alive. wether they admit it or not, and if you are a sensitive empathic human being there's no possible way the current reality won't affect you. I've personally been on therapy for many years and I find it to be a way of coping with thoughts and emotions but also taking responsibility for my mental health. Unfortunately, here in Europe it's still viewed as if being in therapy means you're broken or something is really wrong with you, which is a shame because I feel that if we all did a bit of personal work we'd have a different society. No pressure intended, but you have no idea how much I wait for your posts , and I feel embarrassed to say so 'cause I think I have a life apart from the internet but maybe it's because you seem very authentic and real. Like I haven't found another "media person" that talks about these things and shares ideas in an actual sincere way. UA-camrs seem to be far more worried about their egos than creating community (trying not to generalise though). So I'm glad you do this. It gives hope, it makes me feel less alone in my worries. All the best. M.

Another wonderfully honest and calming video. Have you tried meditation before? I experience anxiety as well and sometimes I come out of a sit and feel much more calm and my breath is slow and deep. I highly recommend you give it a shot if you haven't. Look into Alternate Nostril Breathing as well. Breathing techniques are WONDERFUL for anxiety and this one is my favorite. It slows down the breath, calms the nervous system, balances the mind, and gives you something to focus on rather than your thoughts. 😊💜

I always used to tell my son to talk to me when he was unhappy because putting the words in order to express himself would help him understand what was wrong. We used to talk in the car while I was driving so he didn’t have to look at me which made it easier to be open. I wonder if journaling does the same thing by helping you to put the thought into words and express it externally? Just a thought. Take care x

On another note, I'm so sorry you worry about 'cancel culture' and I had no idea honestly that that was a fear that even you live with as an activist type of influencer. But I guess as this is also income it makes sense. My partner and I were talking about that the other day; in reference to people like Shane Dawson and Jefery Star (haha Idk who he is I think I spelt it wrong but oh well) and like those top youtubers... what's their 5-10 year plan? Does anyone really know when their time is up? That's got to be so fucking scary :( I think you have a lot of supporters that are with you until youtube is obsolete! And what you're doing is so much bigger than social media

Would you be able to start adding "show notes" to your videos? You always mention these amazing sounding things and trying to find them after your video can be tricky (or I have to stop your video in the middle and re-listen to a part 3 times in order to write it down with what I hope is proper spelling).
