If you had the opportunity to get either a 2010 fender Deluxe strat or this one which would you chose by a land slide? I'm stuck in the middle of the two
I've owned this guitar since 2014 and it is my main guitar. Firstly, this guitar is one the finest strats made. The combination of the fat 50s pickups and the rosewood neck give it that deep resonant sound like what he is demoing in the video. They are clear and articulate in any combination. Someone said this would be brighter than a maple neck but it's the opposite - it would be a tad darker. Someone also said this isn't for growl/rocking but I'll tell you that you turn up your amp or stick some good overdrives in front of it (especially Klon-type clones) and it rocks! The best part of this guitar is definitely the neck - the more you play it the more your hand sweat and oil rub into the back of the neck the smoother it becomes. One thing that might be an issue is (at least on the 2014 version) the neck is vintage C shape so it's fairly small and the radius is 7.5 as opposed to 9.5. If you like a thick neck, this is definitely not for you. I will also tell you that I played 3 different versions of this guitar at GC and all 3 sounded and felt different. I ended up with the Daphne blue combo. It's still my main go to gigging guitar and I don't think I will ever part with it. When I bought it, I was looking for a PRS high end guitar not a Fender. It caught my eye and I tested it - fell in love and next thing I'm walking out with it. Best decision I ever made though. I'm actually debating selling my 97 PRS for the American Shawbucker Deluxe with Rosewood neck. Again same feel - different radius and wee bit bigger neck and it is just as comfortable. This guitar is awesome. period.
@@MSDTrinity I'm debating also because the modern rosewood next strats come with the new V-mod picks ups rather than the fat 50s and I was wondering if going for Fat 50s would be better than V-mod🤔 also wanna get the ones that done hum like an engine when I'm not playing 🤔 but kind of don't want to to get noiseless either
Fat 50s are low wind - but when you kick in drive - you can hear them on single coil settings. Again mine is a 2014 - not the newer version but I'd suspect they are about the same. Pickups are a funny thing - one man's steak - another poison. The great thing I love about fenders is that switching out the entire pickguard with a 920D custom loaded pickguard can change the guitar to what you want. You should try and play the neck and see if the magic happens. Otherwise, your paying extra for something that might not be all that for you. Good luck!!!!!
What is so Limited edition about it.I have And American Pro Strat with a Rosewood Finger board. Color is Tobacco Sunburst. Sounds no different that your blue 1.
Is it just me or the solid rosewood neck sounds rounder, brighter, louder, more articulate mids, and has more sustain than maple?
Yes I do think so too, I prefer all rosewood necks over anything else.
i was shockked how much the neck makes such a difference in the sound...all rosewood is brighter then maple MUCH
Which real amp do you recommend for this sound? Fender Blues Junior, Deluxe,...? Thank you. Amazing sound!!
You can get that sound from either amp. Ive had both and think both are great!

did you keep the 6105 tall narrow frets man?
Was that second progression Dance a la Plage - She's Gone by the Morning? It sounded just like it but slower
Whats up Will, that was actually inspired more by long train runnin by the doobie brothers
ive got one on the way. also nice mayer tribute 🤙🏼
Cool you’ll love it! And thanks man
what amp are you using
I am using amplitube thru an ipad
@@sweetnessguitar7417 That's a disservice to such a killer axe
@@BenDover-lu4pw why? it sounds good
Reverb....
Too much reverb and delay. I want to hear it without effects to see how much of a difference the rosewood neck makes.

Hey what's up man! Is your neck Maple and rosewood or just one single piece of rosewood?
@@spainguit Pretty sure 1 piece. And it is Rosewood.Of courese with a Maple back and the skunk stripe. But it plays real nice.
@@danielhartman5086 this one is all rosewood all one piece that's probably why they call it it limited or special edition
@@spainguit Got cha.
whats so limited edition about it is that is has a solid rosewood neck. That isnt a regular production guitar. Open your eyes.
