OH how funny, what the heck Santa??? LOL The Easter Bunny could especially bring you the pastel Woodies! I am excited that you are preparing!! That can only help. I do love the woodies. If you do not want to get the whole set, ask the bunny for pastels and maybe a couple others, you can buy them "open stock" but they are more expensive that way and then you have to buy the sharpener... but it's a though, for a few colors to try!

I like them VERY much. I love green! I’m not keen on the scribbling on top. Lots of mixed media artists have been scribbling lately. I wonder if it’s a craze or a phase. Is it getting close to passé yet? I don’t know. 👁️of the beholder. I did have doubts re the multi-color rubbing, yet it became very beautiful under the layers of green. I like that! 💕

Hi barbara, thank you so very much. Happy birthday to your son! There are never any dumb questions, the craft mat is sold by the foot and you have to purchase at least 2 feet. I believe it’s 36 inches wide and you can buy any length. So the piece that I have is long enough to cover my entire table in the house studio, I also have the same surface on my work bench in the garage studio that is 8 feet long and 36 inches wide. It’s really nice to be able to get it to cover the entire surface. And you will tack it down around the edges with double stick tape.
Your video so inspired me, I had to pause to run in my studio to play. One question: should my paints be transparent? Or are opaques OK? I noticed you were using transparents.
You mentioned one time that your rice paper is thicker than other rice paper. May I ask where you get yours or how do you differentiate when ordering to make sure you get the thicker paper? Is there a weight assigned to it? Thank you I enjoyed this video very much
All you have to do is wipe it down with baby oil/mineral oil, and it will remove any stains. But ultimately the plate yellows and gets cloudy and is never going to look as good as it did when you took it out of the packaging :-)
HI Arleen, I'm sorry you feel that way. The time and effort that it takes to film and edit video is monumental, and these Friday Tidbits are free to you. The only way I can defray the cost of my time and necessary equipment involved is through the ads that UA-cam decides to place in them. I use both, it’s not the paint that’s translucent, it’s the pigment. So, it depends on the color
What is the down side of using regular Blick studio acrylics instead of Golden Fluid acrylics? Im pretty serious about Gelli printing. Thx Wendy
I’m a professional artist and I sell my work so I use professional paints. I prefer the viscosity of fluids, they dry faster for layering.
