Hmmm... another take could be that Sudfeld has been around since the 2016 Draft -- so he's at least a legit back-up and even has a Super Bowl ring -- and Hurts was having trouble completing passes, and the situation of the game dictated moving the ball as quickly as possible, which meant passing. Who is to say Sudfeld wouldn't have led the team down the field for a winning TD? It could've happened.
