There is one more evidence saying that Lelouch is still alive is that on the contract that Lelouch and C.C. both agree on about the geass power. She said something about that once Lelouch made an agreement with her, he will has a different destiny and life that has to do with his longevity.
Well if he is alive he can't ever see his friends or family again since if he does he runs the chance of getting found out and then people will...at the least try to kill him again and at the worst will find out he is immortal and torture him forever. And if he decides to befriend anyone else they will eventually die. His only solace would be IF C.C. stays with him and doesn't want to die again. And he can't stay in one place for too long or people will notice. especially the first years.
