    Glad to see we're all here for the same reasons. The industrial revolution was still a mistake tho

      How? It brought the technology we all enjoy today and economic growth, as well as advancements in medicine.

      @@shelovesreaper5679 It was a mistake because we don't ALL enjoy this technology equally. It destroyed the lives of many at the expense of the few. In fact, we'd have even more if the West lost its monopoly on the resources in weaker countries.

    Proto industrialization occurred in Mughal India, which was worth 25% of world GDP, mainly in the wealthy Bengal Subah, via Islamic economics, which made direct significant to the first Industrial revolution. Controversially speaking, the industrial revolution was going to occur in Bengal but occured in Britain after the Battle of Plassey because of East India Company's invasion (and looting) in India. Even Tipu Sultan's Kingdom of Mysore in South India was a major economic power, but British even destroyed that.

    • @patrickragland1032
      @patrickragland1032 4 роки тому +2

      I believe many parts of the world would have become industrial powerhouses if the British didn't destroy them. Along with Bengal and the Mysore Kingdom, I'd like to add Benin and Kumasi to the list. They weren't as advanced, but they were progressing wildly ahead of other kingdoms, and their future looked promising.

    • @Correctrix
      @Correctrix 7 років тому +13

      He's neutral about all of it. The Muslims, the Romans, the British... they all had brutal empires.

      Muslim countries have been enslaving africans continuously until the 1970s.. Saudi arabia only made slavery illegal a few decades ago.
