I appreciate your oiling guide instructions. I am a watch collector and hobbyist. I began servicing my own watches about a year ago. Oiling in the correct places and with correct oils is critical. Thank you for your guidance.
The effort you put into not only the work on the movement but the video and editing is absolutely fantastic. Best watch video I have seen to date. Now I understand why those watches cost what they do… 😬😬😬👍🏾👍🏾
My .861 is one of the early versions built in about Oct. 1968. It was given to me as a BD gift on July 30, 1969 about 10 days after Buzz Adlrin wore his on the moon. I still have it and it works fine. My girlfriend paid about $275 with a 20% discount at Bamburgers, now Macys. It's pre-lunar and does not have the moon landing stamp on the back. But its not the .321 version that Buzz wore on the moon. The .861 model changed over in 1968 as I understand it. There is an extra jewel and a plastic replacement part. It runs at a higher frequency and is more accurate. It's over 50 something years old and looks brand new.
Amazing photography...I have an early Speedy and always wondered what a strip down would look like....you make it look so easy, but I don't think I'll be home servicing it!...many thanks for sharing your skills so beautifully. 👏👏
Well I understand why we haven't seen a video in a while. This must have taken a long time to edit. Excellent video and beautiful watch. I don't think that I've seen so much grease used in a movement! Your tools are as beautiful as the watches that you work on. I do have a question. When pressing on the chronograph driving wheel, how do you know the correct height? Does it bottom out, or do you actually measure it some how? Thank you for a wonderfully comprehensive video.
Hi Dimitri, I have a Lemania 1873 that i'm servicing, but now it's stoppep waiting for a replacement pice because a broken screw. Thank you for your details in this assembly, and beatiful tools ! Regards
Thank you for your most excellent video , it was worth watching to the end and has given me a better insight to the complicated mechanism that the Speedmaster has !
Groot respect voor je kennis en grote kunde...vakwerk... Uitmuntend camerawerk dat een duidelijk beeld geeft van de minutieuze precisie die bij het assembleren van dit uurwerk komt kijken. Nogmaals, grote klasse👍🏼
Long time no see Dimitri! Looks like you have collected several months worth of playback time in one video. Your video is easily among the best in all UA-cam watch repairs in terms of capture quality, magnification and illumination. Keep it up!
Amazing work! Thank you for sharing. This is so interesting to watch. I'm amazed by how little oil is applied. And also the number of different viscosities. Perhaps you could elaborate on the importance of oil?
Hey watch doctor I appreciate your videos. I am a humble hobbyist and your channel has been a invaluable source of information. You should look into having a patreon account or some other platform besides amzn. I would gladly show my support. I get my supplies from a local shop in my city.
Thank you for taking your time and patience, outstanding presentation, and letting us watch your process and handling techniques. I've learnt some tips and tricks and will use them in my daily work. Thanks
Oh man these are great. My holly grain chronograph will always be Zenith Al Primero (first chronograph) however And you can’t go wrong with a few vintage Seiko was well!
Great work. You have some magnificent OEM Omega tools. Did the customer not want the bracelet refinished? Seems like the shiny mid links could use a polish.
fantastic job! i have stripped cleaned an eta 2824, but too nervous of chronos just yet! i will come to your country with my speedy moonwatch for service and be confident it will be looked after. had to subscribe. cheers
Groeten!
I missed the part where you reassemble the buttons on the watch case and kindly ask you if they have a gasket and eventually need to be lubricated. Thank you.
Saving this for an evenings viewing! I mentioned on another video you did about my 1861 chrono minute hand being a tad to the right when zeroed(can only see it with the eyeglass)and I was of the belief that this is within tolerance. Could you confirm this is so? Many thanks for your videos, fascinating viewing!
Hi Dimitri, this was a fantastic video. I own a 1971 Flightmaster caliber 911 with continuous seconds hand. I need to replace the chrono driving wheel 1710 along with chrono friction spring, chrono wheel 1705 and coupling wheel 1712. My question, how do you remove chrono driving wheel 1710 and wear can I obtain the holder to support the jewel to install and press fit the new wheel. I have search the internet and cannot locate the Omega 506W002692 holder. I assume it's an Omega part, is there an optional holder to use? I am a watch enthusiasts in the USA. Thanks
very nice, very clean and very precise. You have a lot of expensive tools, I work with watches too, and I don't even have half of what you do ... and I would like to have such personalized tools, very cool. I have to do shopping :) This week I made an omega 911 and the next one I have a 910. I can ask about the liquid in which you washed this omega? How could I contact you?
Thanks Karol, "I can ask about the liquid in which you washed this omega?" I will make a video about that in the near future. Contact: info@horlogedokter.be
Amazing workmanship, I’m in awe. Had no idea how complicated a chrono complication is, just wow.
Thanks Marcus!
This has to be the best chronograph video I’ve ever watched. Fantastic production value! Thank you for sharing!
The side by side view of the parts is great. Helps to understand the amount of wear on those components.
1hr video but he is alive!
Thanks Jonna-X, nice to see that you are still subscribed :-)
Amazing, to watch a Pro working, you make this look easy. respect.

Stumbled across this video and even though I don't own an expensive watch I now know why they are priced so high.I enjoyed this.
Great video. Amazing camera work and attention to detail. Noting the part number was especially useful.
It is long time we are missing your beautiful voice
Thanks Almasri, I will be back soon :-)
I'm impressed that you were able to capture the sound of the minute recorder clicking into place with so little background noise!

Amazing video! I'm a super beginner and would like to ask you what is the difference between Moebius 9504 and HP-1300? Thanks for your reply. Simone
Felicitaciones espectacular
wow thanx a lot, enjoyed it a lot.
can one buy all the parts for that movement?
if so, where? or is it just for watchmakers to buy?
thanx
Epic VDO thank you.
Now I'm afraid to wear my watch.

Why were there so many scratches on the surfaces? That jewel at 19:59 looks like it was attacked and dug out in the past!
which caliber is the best, 321, 861 or 1861 . . . ?
Amazing video!!! Please keep sharing. What microscope are you using to inspect the parts?
I like this video😍
Impresionante
Eccellente!
Very nice!
Bergeon makes wet wipes now? Howmuch are those? €10 per wipe?😜
Lolll Yes indeed, they do :-)
I have this watch and I belonged to my father. Pitched in 1969. It is not currently working and is missing the stem. How do I get in touch?
Does the time have to be somewhere specific before attaching the hands, or just on an hour?
After watching this video this beautiful watching being put back 2gether, I wouldn't want to ware it, mite get it dirty or worse
