@@danialricky Maaayyybe just maayybe because the starting firepower of Broken is 13.0 and Killer7 is 25.0 And Broken is more expensive if you reach the exclusive (for obvious reasons)
I once did a magnum only run, i gathered about 400 magnum rounds and used both magnums on exclusive upgrade, its fun but much too easy, although ammo is very hard to find. You have to save so much ammo its like RE2.
Everyone says the butterfly is so much more powerful but it takes the same amount of shots to kill a chainsaw ganado as the killer7 I tested it. I personally prefer the killer it holds 2 more bullets per mag, faster reload and does the same job as the butterfly but requires fewer upgrades
That's because Dr. Salvador has a damage cap so you can only inflict a maximum amount of damage per shot, for this reason using a magnum on him is pretty much a waste of ammo. On bosses the maximised Butterfly is much more powerful and it shows.
And since the Killer7's damage output is not 35 power or lower, it could be entirely possible that Dr. Salvador has an amount of HP that could be taken down by the exact amount of shots on needed on both guns.
To all the people trying to refute that the Killer7 is not a reference to the game Killer7 or somehow a direct reference to Terminator... your more wrong than you are right. Its a really layered reference. RE4 and Killer7 were supposed to be Game Cube exclusives as per a contract with Nintendo that Capcom flaked on. Both games would eventually get Ps2 releases.. Chrome with a brown grip, The one in the terminator is Chrome w/ a black grip. Your right about the gun being an AMT Hardballer but the Killer7 is as much a Terminator reference as it is a Hitman reference. Agent 47 also uses AMT hardballers that look totally different from Kaede Smiths's.
" Its probably even the exact same model in both games with slight modifications to textures." Actually, there are a few differences, the scope is attached to the barrel on both sides instead on the grip from just one side, and Kaede's AMT has an extended mag as well.
The exclusive of the killer 7 should be a large magazine capacity like 20 rounds. Having 8 more rounds than the broken butterfly a faster reload and fire rate would make it competitive.
i know this comment is for so long ago, and remake already gave the 5× critical headshots upgrade to the killer7, but honestly, bigger capacity would have been a better exclusive upgrade specially considering how rare magnum ammo is. you want bigger damage but lower capacity ( broken butterfly )? or do you want bigger capacity in exchange of less damage ( killer7 )? tough choice if you ask me
Seems like everyone prefers the Broken Butterfly (myself included) but I’d imagine if the Killer 7 also had an exclusive upgrade (I’m picturing a capacity of 25-30 rounds) there would be a lot more players using it.
Not really, with the extremely rare magnum rounds you want the highest damage gun since that will give them more value. Also the Broken butterfly can be found for free while the killer7 is really expensive (and found late, so you'll have to be selling an already upgraded broken butterfly to have it). But yeah, having an exclusive upgrade like that would at least give it a reason to exist
I used to like the Broken Butterfly due to the sheer firepower it commanded. Then I learned the hard way the Killer 7 is superior in the fight against U3, where the reload speed will make the difference between living and dying when it burrows in the ground.
But You don't actually need to reload a full magnum against U3. 1 shot from any magnum will make him burrow (I never upgrade magnum firepower btw) and blacktail or smg was a better weapon against U3 anyway.
