Looking forward to seeing the speed test. I have an LB50 with LB80 engine. Would like to upgrade the LB50 Carb so I can get better performance to almost LB80 speeds.
You are much more the expert than I am but I can say I had really good luck getting the carbon out using oven cleaner from the dollar store and then blasting with the pressure washer. Chappy looking really good so far. You have made some quick progress.
a viewer chimed in and told me how to do it. Push right pedal crank in and rotate left pedal crank forward until it locks into place. Took me 5 seconds. I feel stupid now.
She turned out to be a nice ride, I remember having one in yellow back in my teenage years and it was a lot of fun. I think I might have discovered that the extra ground in the back of my na50 is a body ground. I have the engine ground already but I noticed that there’s no body ground connected, any thoughts? Thanks for the videos and ride safe.
Should be a ground that is connected to one of the carburetor bolts. BTW, it's entirely possible that someone stuck on the wrong flywheel collar and flywheel on your express. If so, you could have spark, compression and fuel and no start. Usually you'll have a backfire every now and again. The Express CDI flywheel and flywheel collar will not work on an Express points stator. An Express points flywheel and flywheel collar will not work on a CDI stator. Timing will be off. You never know - someone could've been missing a flywheel and bought one on eBay and it was the wrong flywheel.
Noped Thursday thanks for that, I just discovered that the rear wiring harness is right that’s just a body ground and the other ground is connected the intake bolt already. Not sure what to look for on the points cam but I’ll try to get it off to change the crank seals just in case, ride safe and thanks.

Kirk Johnson i need to try the oven cleaner next time.
Good job!!
Be cool if you could put both peddles facing forward then make them stationary so they would be like pegs
Kentucky Yankee you should be able to do just that dang it!
