    Is it just me, or do other people find that the road star has some of the best sound of any bike when you put good pipes on. Holy shit that's sweet. I'm picking one up this week, and when I went to look at it, the guy fired it up and I could not believe how great it sounds.

      I sure hope that you will put a helmet on, since this guy does not seem to believe in safety first?

    • @ridethepace6005

      I fail to see how you can make a connection between the two of us, based solely on evidence from one of us. I get that you are trying to shame him by highlighting the fact that he is not wearing a helmet ( leaving aside the issue of whether he is or is not legally allowed to do that where he resides ) , but to even insinuate that I might make that same choice, simply because I comment on the sound of the motorcycle, is perplexing. Why would you cast that aspersion without even a shred of a logical link?

    Why would a guy who can't even do a u-turn (or ride without being a FOOT-DRAGGER) need more "oomph" from a bike.
    He is already riding a bike he can't handle.

    Looks great man. I'm not normally a fan of the flat black powder coatings, but it does look really nice with the paint scheme you've chosen. It sure looks like you did a great job staying true to the plan for your final outcome.

    Funny how the people who ride other bikes than Harley always try to make them look and sound just like Harley. If the Japanese hadn’t had Harley to copy from it would be interesting to see what they could have came up with, there are probably more vintage Harley Davidson bikes in japan now than anywhere in the universe ( THEY LOVE THEM) and pay good money to get them! Nice bike man glad you get to ride the brand that you like.

    Great looking bike. You can always tell who the poser bikers are. They can't shut up about their overpriced not really 100% American HD lol. They are just hiding their jealousy because our cheaper to buy and cheaper to work on bikes perform just as good as theirs. Its always cute when they say they bought American made. Get it right tool bags, HD is only American assembled. Guess what, I bought my bike from an American and another American was the manager and owner of the shop, and it was an American that put the bike together. Not to mention Japan is arguably our second closest ally. I am 100% perfectly good with my Yamaha.

    Great looking bike.
    Sounds good too.
    How about getting a filter/jet kit on there,
    to add more oomph and additional good sound? You can get the chrome cover powder coated to match the rest of your awesome looking bike.

    Custom bike, fine.
    Custom WORK?
    Not a damn ounce of custom work on this bike.
    Sending bike parts (or, more likely, the whole bike) to someone else to be powder-coated at a shop and have BOLT ON accessories slapped on... is NOT "custom work."
    Custom may, unfortunately, apply to these poser, desperate for social status, and/or midlife crisis bikers...
    but saying "nice custom work" is only deserved by those who BUILD or CREATE something.
    "Work" requires some actual "work."

    it was hard for me to read this guy. Stern speech but dressed like a tennis coach. Was the camera lady so afraid to make a mistake she was shaking and crying? None of that mattered once i got to see him attempt that u turn. I was hoping he would be able to keep both feet up and turn in at full lock. What a disappointment and too make it worse this only assures the stereotypes of owning a Star

    It isn't an actual style... I'm saying this guy is a poser and his bike is the kind of thing poser's would ride and act like they are some serious part of motorcycle culture.
    This is literally not a style. This is just a slapped together mix of unplanned ideas that the owner thought woul look "cool".
    The only "style" it is... is a loosely used term... "custom"
    Because, yes, it has altered parts and appearance... so it is "customized".
    But this is for riders that can't build or ride bikes.IMO

  • @irishrider1337
    @irishrider1337 11 років тому

    When the "driver" is a guy that can't do a u-turn and thinks buying a bunch of slap-on accessories makes him and his bike serious and respectable in the culture.
    The bikes endless bolt-on accessorizing, zero fabrication/originality, and his walking it around u-turns like a kid with a bmx on training wheels... do you really need to ask?
    Posers don't know how to ride, get dirty, change the oil, or do anything except say "I have money, make this look 'badass' for me."

  • @irishrider1337
    @irishrider1337 11 років тому

    He also needs to learn how to ride.
    I had to laugh in disgust by the second time he walked the bike through a u-turn, instead of riding it.
    He also needs to join an M/C because that is where these slap-on, bolt-on pocketbook-custom riders belong.
    It is no wonder I can't stand half the riders out there... bunch of "what can I buy to pose my fake social status and comfort my male ego/mid-life crisis?"
    This isn't a custom, it is the equivalent of a woman accessorizing a dress.
