I've shared this everywhere. I truly beleive this may the greatest "comedy as art" joke that has ever been done. It's like building a Rube Goldberg machine that takes a month and enough electricity to power the world for a 100 years to honk a a rubber chicken a single time. Her voice is powerful, and the song is genuinely moving, and all of it was done to make yet another Beef Call number joke. This is the equivalent to comedy of einstein's theory of relativity.
@@ElementalWhispers well, no, that’s not the aim. The aim is to prompt my relatives and friends to contact Beef Call on the number as it’s being sung, so they can win a lifetime’s supply of beef on my behalf - but which would only be possible if I then came back to life.
I don't know how it is in the UK, but in the USA, you can legally utilize the souls of your ancestors as trade for Beef! Its actually how the Rockefellers and Kennedy families rose to power. It also explains why there are so many Burger Joints and Necromancers in the US!
And the episode that was just an excuse for repeatedly saying the word anus, which unfortunately I listened to at 6am and woke my partner up rocking in hysterics
I keep trying to write down the numbers but her voice is so mesmerizing that I keep falling in an out of unconsciousness. How will I ever be able to call Beef Call and win I lifetime supply of top quality beef if I can't even get the numbers right😭
It's the fact that such a talented voice pulled this off with such conviction that sells it so perfectly and TBH that's the entire Beef and Dairy Network, ridiculously talented people just doing it all with such strong conviction. Such a great podcast
Only now do I realise there's a video of this. When I first heard this on the pod it stuck with me, and I listened to it repeatedly and often. It's really good.
I'd like to have children in the future so that I can show them this video and assure them that nothing they ever do will make me happier than this does, they'd likely be halfwitted anyway, but even so
This is genuinely one of the most beautiful songs I've come across. I know the long game is that it's a gag, but that's what makes it even more enticing as a piece of art. I mean the fucking interpretive dancer near the end? Holy shit. I'm crying because it's beautiful and hilarious
This performance is one of history’s all-time greatest jokes. For all the reasons everyone has listed. I played this for my teenage daughter and she reacted with the exact right amusement, bewilderment, and wonder as it merits. The kids are alright!

It's one of the best exercises in comedic over-commitment, I agree. For another truly great example, go to youtube.../watch?v=cD3QlR98--A
And even more funny is the blank look of people who don't think it's funny at all! I enjoy sharing it with them the most😅
When she sang 777477747774827482 I really felt it
I love when comedy bits are perfect balance of incredibly intelligent and artistic while still being the dumbest thing possible
Siri, define "impeccable commitment to a bit"
I want this played at my funeral.
Not a dry eye in the church!

Benjamin Partridge, feel free to use that joke.
The commitment to a bit is what sets Ben Partridge apart. I bet this moment was in his head 20 episodes before it happened.
Yeah, it's fantastic. Like the episode that's pretty much entirely Slash Beef.
And the episode that was just an excuse for repeatedly saying the word anus, which unfortunately I listened to at 6am and woke my partner up rocking in hysterics
She does it so well. It's magnificent, I'm going to call.
Just one digit off of my mother's number
Don’t doxx your mum like that :-(
Mate, I accidentally called your mum last night. She really enjoys her reruns of Silent Witness, doesn't she? Maybe too much.
That's why I just got a confused woman on the phone instead of a year's supply of value beef and a factory tour.
Thank goodness the number five is not in the Beef Call Number! There is no fifth meat!

That my friend is the power of the hemiola :-)
This was a masterpiece. So moving 😭
I love how happy Ben is with himself. He looks so proud :-D

this would be an incredible audition song.
Very happy I got to see this in person. Pretty sure I was cry-laughing by the end.

Hilarious. And what a beautiful voice she has.
Christmas No. 1 2022 please. Let's make this happen people. Beef out.
And the answer to the question "what has you falling about laughing that virtually no-one else will get?" is....
8, 8, 10!
Probably the strangest job she has ever had.
I will work on getting the lyrics... its actually a beautiful song!
Genuinely considering getting a tee-shirt with the number written out. (And the Beef Call logo as well, of course, so that it makes sense.)
@@jyrinx Don't want confusion.
Right in the feels.
Such raw emotion.
Genuinely moving!
I love this so much every couple of months I come back for another listen. It find it quite moving 😭
Back again 😊
Moo-ving. Sorry.
Finally the perfect song for my funeral.
What is the singer's name and where can I listen to more of her singing?
Just put this video on repeat. It encapsulates all emotions.

I can't even remember my number, this is amazing plus she's a great singer and funny too, the emotion she puts into numbers is hilarious 😂
Watch what videos auto-play after this one and tell me this song isn't amazing. The algorithm can't lie.
No fives.
This might be the best and worst use of talent ever.
