You basically saved some money building a Roswell 47 and it sounds great. It has that nice 5 ish K boost. Great job and thank you for making the video

That's great mate. Can you give an indication of the build difficulty and how much this kit cost?

It sounds amazing on that acoustic and your voice by the way. Thanks for the video. Cheers

I probably need to listen on headphones, but watching on tv this mic sounds less than impressive to me. I hear clear top end, but no richness or thick bottom end. As its called a T47 I was expecting the T to mean tube and the 47 for it to have some 47 characteristics. It sounds like a cheap mic to me, but maybe I need to hear it again through headphones. Would have been good if you had got a bit closer to the mic to hear the difference in proximity effect. 👍

Dude, new subscriber here. I enjoy your videos and this mic sounds awesome from my perspective. You're inspiring me to do a lot of things now. I'm a guitar and piano player so I'm looking forward to what I can create with what I'm learning from you. Keep up the awesome work.

You demo playing and singing sounded absolutely insane. Congratulations to you. Well played!

Hi, nice build. I'm considering doing the same but one question - why did you chose the T47, there is the S3-47 and the V47 as well.

Great build. Glad it worked for you. I watched it at half speed. I would have liked some pauses for narration, such as identifying the second smaller circuit board, perhaps for polarization?

it's the upgraded brushed pewter or something like that. I don't remember. It's kind of annoying that their colors are always changing.

Oh cool I was thinking about getting a mic kit. I’ll be watching with interest! The price of this particular kit is probably fair but can still be a bit prohibitive. I’ve noticed some less expensive kits(including tube mics even) for around $150-$300. Any chance be on a demo of the cheaper ones? Thanx! Sounds great btw.

Imho it depends on experience level.
If you haven't soldered much or built a mic before, the micparts print and instruction quality is some of the best anywhere, and come with some spare parts. As a first build it's probably worth the extra $ to minimize confusion while increasing chance at success.

You are looking at high end gear here build after some of the most famous microphones of all time. The capsule technology can be damn close to what they would put into the originals. Of course Neumann has a patent on their casings so you can not really build a 100% clone of any Neumann microphone. But they are far far better than the AT mics you mentioned.

Completely different league, those AT models are toys in comparison.

Those are cheap mics you're naming with cheap capsules. This is leagues above that. These rival anything above the 2000€ mark.
