hello I didn't think I could do that climbing the bridge but when I did it I was so exciting it was amazing view to see from the top hopefully I will do it again one day
Thanks for the info. Decided to do the climb after I viewed your very informative video. Thanks so much for sharing. I'm taking your advice and doing the twilight climb, Tuesday, March 13, 2018!
Tom Hall Tom, nice video and thanks for sharing! I did the climb on the final day of my Aussie tour in 2002 and I still cannot believe that I did this since I have a BIG fear of heights!!! I cannot even get up on a ladder to go on the roof of my one-story house now but did the climb! Go figure!!! I had a GREAT tour guide and most of the people in my group of 12 were very friendly. Before the climb, I had gone to a church to pray and maybe that helped me. I even got a bit emotional after the climb as I was walking back to my hotel since I overcame my BIG fear with help from courage and self-confidence inside of me that I did not know that I had. I am now 61 and will never do this climb again but what a VERY exhilarating way to end almost three weeks in Australia!!! And I have the pictures to remind me of that day and the BridgeClimb!!!
I think there are 3 levels of climb; lower, middle, and the very top. So if you don't think/feel that you can do the longest climb you don't have to. Has anyone else heard this?
Is there anything you can do regarding the Sydney Bridge that does cost an arm and a leg.I couldn't do the walk across as I cant stand heights and would probably have a panic attack. Otherwise any recommendations? if anyone can help
You can do 1.5 hour climb instead of the full 3.5 hour climb. It's half price from the full bridge climb and you still get the taste of doing the climb. It's not super high up as well since it's only a quarter of the way so hopefully you won't get a panic attack
Great video. This is how i travel nowadays. Via other people. One thing that's a little creepy about this video .. did you guys notice that the guy in the Demonstration Video ( long grey hair, older gentleman perhaps in his 60's or 70's)is later seen walking behind Tom before he goes to change into his suit? Maybe this guy goes multiple times a year. Or maybe it's a doppleganger. Who knows lol
Its easy to do without paying some company hundreds of dollars. A bar has been hacksawed away from the barrier at the top of the ladder on the access near the south eastern pylon. There is enough room to squeeze through. Once you are through its easy. Hopefully when you get to the painting machine, the door is open. If it isnt, there is enough space to crawl under the machine, to proceed to the top. Then the gantry to the ladder that takes you to the aircraft beacon at the very top.
Excellent video! Thank you , Tom!
Thank you for sharing, Tom. We'll be in Sydney next week.

I would love to climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge!
Meet you down at The Rocks and we spoke about doing the climb - glad you did it! Told you it would be worth it.

Doug Celeste Hello Doug, sounds like you had quite the trip and experience!
Tom, great video. What type of video camera are you using? Would like to do the same thing someday soon.
Have booked to do this in December 2022,don't really like heights but you have to try these things don't you 🤞👍

I’ve climbed the Bridge twice in 2001 and 2018 - and I’m afraid of heights! On my second climb I was given a Gold Certificate...
Why so strict on taking your camera. Are they afraid you will drop it accidentally on the roadway?
The company is probably taking pictures and video and selling them.
Matt Anderson yea cuz if it hit somebody’s head it will be so painful because of the pressure
Dropping a camera or phone would likely kill a person if dropped from such heights.

Doesn't it cost over $400 to make that climb? Okay. You just answered it on the video. Over $300 Aussie dollars.
