Honestly on console you find no loot at all. It’s very rewarding though when you find a good gun. I’ve been alive on a official console server for the last 2 months and I’ve got a M4 and VSD and excess guns I don’t need.
Should've mentioned Skalitsy Island, great place to get BK133s (Pumps) and Tundras! The 308. is somewhat hard to find but the shotgun shells spawn like crazy!
this reminds me of the meme of telling new players of fallout new vegas to take the "shortcut" to new vegas by going through quarry junction, except instead of getting murdered by deathclaws it's wolves.
problem with console is, yes the spawn rate of these assault rifles is awfully low due to duping etc.. but when and IF u actually find one of these weapons, if u have it on display on your back or you are holding it in your hands and you come across anybody and they see it, they will 99% chance backstab you for the weapon itself. sad times. it’s kill or be killed on console. which takes the fun and PVE aspect away from the game entirely.
From what I've experienced it seems there is no chance of being friendly to anyone without getting killed so I just stay in a area that players have no reason to be and just survive like fishing hunting and all the other stuff
Whats worse is when those dupers come to the coast to farm fresh spawns. I’ve had some awful experiences and learned to never trust a single person on this game, always wave and move on.
If someone is hoarding all of the guns in a crate in their base will they respawn in the world? cause we have a 8-9 man active team on official and we are usually always on at once and the best gun we’ve been coming across is an KAS-74U
A bit late, but yes. Player loot and world loot are different. This is how I works, I'll use a sks for example. Normally there will be 40 on the map, there will be a minimum of 10, and a max of 50. Every 3600 seconds another one spawns in, or if someone picks one up bringing the total on the map to 9, another one will have to spawn since the server minimum is set to 10. If it's in a players possession or in storage, that doesn't count towards the amount on the map... so you can have 100 skss and they will still spawn.
I like trisnigoko military bases, me and my group went there and found all kinds of stuff that geared us, one guy got 2 usg and we found some cobra sights and a PSO scopes

@@uraclown9982 because of duping, thankfully it's now over for a little while till they find a new method, but every gun in dayz has a limit per server, for instance, EU de 4448 can only spawn 10 m4s, 10 ka101, 15 kam, 15 ak74s, if dupers have duplicated and not removed the duplicated guns from that server, meaning they are stored on that server, then you will not find any on that server, because the limit has been met, there is a way to find them, I have currently around 40 m4, 20 ka101 20 kam, and probably 30 40 74s, what I'm not finding is nvgs now, there all eaten up, so bring me a few pairs I'll swap a KAM for 2 nvgs
Too bad this isn’t the same for console 😂 only way you’re getting an AR or vsd on console is if you find a heli crash at a perfect time on a dead server or if you kill someone (probably a duper) who has one
All those seem worthless without a steady supply of food and wound repair, finding a location with alot of medical supplies is the way, food and handdrill rags and wild meat is all you need 👍

Look just play community servers and don't worry about loot vanilla isn't always best start with the high loot servers like x99 then work your way down to x5
if u look on izurvive like west of myskino (I butchered the name it’s 4am & I’m tired lol) you’ll see some lil gun logos which are myskino tents then if u go a lil further south you’ll see a load of tent icons next to a lake :)

Today on ps4, only decent server I luckily found. Not super buggy.. I found a whole bunch of tents, near military base, couldn't pick them up as I had so much shit on me already but I was wondering about using one soon. I dont know which base lol. I'm new to the game but I'd guess most have them. Since this was first time I've made it to military base, had roughly say 20 lives, mostly died from stupidity and not attempting to kill people often doesnt go in your favour lol. After all this and a couple decent runs today I then climb a tower to scope out the distance.. and somehow jump all the way to my death. Just when I get almost geared up too😅 fucking great game now I'm getting used to it, very steep learning curve but thats the good thing its very challenging. Bit buggy but certain servers are better than others. Today's one was smooth all the way and loot wasn't ridiculously scarce
I'll give all you loot hungry day z players 2 locations to try get into to find top top loot on ps4. server 1882 huge base at the industrial area between sitnik and gieraltow, same again is server 1957 and its the exact same area. both bases are absolutely enormous and I've only ever seen this kind of base on pc so its mad to see something similar on console (ps4) both these servers are EU servers and are on the map livonia. I've been trying to crack these bases now for a month straight but its soooo hard. I find no loot at heli crases anymore and hardly any in military bases unless the server is low or empty. these 2 bases i have mentioned need to be destroyed as soon as possible so we can free up the loot into the central loot economy again because these 2 teams of idiots on these 2 servers are hogging all the good stuff and we deserve a turn with it too.
The OP fails to mention any of the actual big bases, where you are most likely to find big assault rifles, Ak47, 74s, 101's and M4A1s, he also failed to mention that thanks to dupers the gun limits are already met on most servers, making the possibility of finding these guns near on impossible.,

On DayZ vanilla I rarely ever get to a point where I think about ever looting anything military. My mans gotta share a single can of food with my 2 mates so we can go from village to village to find another source of food, always about to starve to death
i am not sure about that first one i never found myself an ak there but its a great place to get yourself some clothing and if you loot kamenka and komorovo you can get a mosin to go wiht that

Funny I found all these locations by accident but started from location 5 down to 1 and got all my best loot.
On vanilla you barely find anything and on modded PC were loaded with LARs, M4s, have 2 cars, 6 tents and multiple gates to protect us. I love it

For me everything is empty even when I do server hop
Eobard Thrawn from what I read it’s because of duplication glitches. Servers are straight empty of loot expect knifes and clothes. I just got the game and I’m turned away because I can’t find enough stuff to make it half way inland.
