Wow. I'm loving this beer! It has got to be one of the fruitiest beers I've ever tasted. Enormous orange and grapefruit flavor and aroma. 🍊

I always view your reviews with the beer your reviewing in hand. I give this a 9 outta 10 . taste is great for a IPA beer with a fruitiness added to it. easy to drink and just two will do the job. I can tell you got a little bizz off this 9.5 beer?

I think the band Night Ranger recommends this series but I digress. I always enjoyed the Voodoo Ranger series (1985 IPA being the best). The Juice Force definitely hits you right away with the high 9.5 ABV. I give it a 7.5 out of 10.
I guess that 9.5% is too high, when I think about it.

Artificial Flavor...100%....but.I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One of My GO TO's fo SHO!!!!!!!!!!!!.GREAT ( DANGEROUS )beer!.......I LOVE the REAL ALE angle as well!!...but this is GREAT,for what it is............the longer you drink it...better it gets..

Juice Force is my new go to non Bud/Coors/Miller beer. It's tasty and smooth, very crushable for 9.5 abv, and it's cheaper than Victory Sour Monkey where I go to.

Don’t know how I feel about this one! Weirdly mild, but strong, and a heavy orange juice/seltzer flavor, but hard to stop drinking

Voodoo Ranger makes some fine IPA! Power was out when I got home. Energy United said in an Email on my phone they hoped to get it back on by 5:30pm. But it came back on about 15 minutes ago at 3:00pm. Happy happy Joy joy!

Have you tried the Arizona hard tea that has come out in the past few months or the new variant of this, the Tropic force? I am trying the tropic force right now, can't say I love it. If I used stuff like Steel Reserve Alloy and Natural Father as a comparison like I did with the others, it's probably better in terms of hiding the alcohol and not being 80% sugar. Overall though, I wouldn't say it's very good, I would rather have $3 worth of Natural Light than it.

I ended up buying some Guinness and Icehouse as a change of pace from Yuengling Lager. You're talking about the Voodoo Ranger Imperial IPA - an IPA I actually really like a lot.

Man I’m a big yuengling lager guy and I wanted to give this a try seen it at target and it looked pretty dang good I’m not a ipa drinker but like to give them a shot and change up the taste buds from just yuengling and steel reserve

I tried this a month or two ago, I thought it was somewhat good. I didn't notice the alcohol from what I recall, it held up better at the ABV compared to AB/MC adjunct strong lagers. But then again i already had some different beer prior and it was the first try, so it's not necessarily an accurate assessment until a second or third try for me, not that I am interested enough in this product to do so.
I feel like the marketing on the website says what I already felt, that many of these IPA's appeal is that they are equal or higher in ABV than many malt liquors but the consumer doesn't feel like they associate with the negative popular image those products garnered while still getting the consumer "buzzing the tower".
If those sort of products are the reference point, I would probably rate this quite high since it wasn't packed with sugar and was somewhat enjoyable, 8% adjunct lagers are more than unpleasant to me, and the one sugared malt beverage I had years ago was a Steel reserve alloy series and it made me physically ill due to the sugar content. Though if I was given the choice, I'd rather have equivalent alcohol volume worth of Pilsner Urquel, Coors Banquet, Colt 45 or what have you than one super high ABV beer.

Thanks Jay, I agree with your review on the Voodoo Ranger line. My favorite New Belgium beers was Hoptoberfest Golden ale from 5-10 years ago and Blue Paddle Pilsner.

Its surprising to hear that Goose Island has largely disappeared from your area considering who owns them. Honkers Ale I thought was cancelled years ago. I saw the Goose Island barrel aged coca cola stout today for 22.99 and they had one left and I was tempted to pick it up but I ultimately passed. I got their Summertime Ale which is a Kolsch style beer that comes in 15 packs. Its a bit overpriced since its a InBev product it should be cheaper but its not too bad. Their Shandy also comes in 15 packs. People tell me these beers are also sold in 6 packs but Ive never seen it.
Well, it is what it is, but Goose Island seems to have faded from this area (southeastern Louisiana). However, just this morning, I saw a six-pack of Tropical Beer Hug (cans), so there's that.

If you can drink enough for the buzz to kick in then it's pretty decent but if not it's pretty disgusting. Tastes like an IPA/grapefruit juice Arnold Palmer.

I watch lots of beer reviews and your probably my favorite reviewer. I like your no b.s. approach and that you don't hate on malt liquors or adjunct lagers. I watched 2 other reviews on this beer as i was drinking it prior to getting to yours and you were the first to catch the fact that it had natural flavors added. I instantly thought that when smelling it but i didnt notice it labeled and couldnt find that info with the brief search i did. So easy to overlook, its good but does it take away from it? ehh.. it kind of does for me. I just like seeing what hops can do all on their own, its sort of cheating in my mind. Why not label it right on the front, ipa with tangerine flavor or whatever they added. instead they hide it on the side in small print. anyway, i appreciate your reviews.

I recently saw Dogfishhead 90 min in a stovepipe can. I bought it, and as much as I think it's a good beer, the stovepipe was just too much for that high alcohol.
Yes, at 9% and above, one ends up "buzzing the tower" as the New Belgium website states. But, at the end, I'm not really into that scene. I could say a lot more about that, too.
Just curious Craig, did you ever buy a bomber of Enjoy By, or an Imperial Stout in the bomber format? Those were 22 ounces.
I'd did enjoy this beer, but was A little sweet for me. I liked the regular Imperial IPA better. Just my opinion. I'm sure there's plenty of people that like the sweet stuff more.

#2 VR Hazy IPA
#3 Goose Island Tropical Beer Hug
#4 VR IPA (awful - I won't buy it. Distant 4th)

The 2 worst beers for me in 2023 were VooDoo Ranger Juice Force, and VooDoo Ranger Fruit Force, ha. Just awful.

One of the worst brew I have had in a long time. Tasted like a boozy artificial soda drink. I don't mind any of the other VR offerings I have had though.
