    The final scene with lit end window makes it look cozy.

      Thanks! Yeah those string lights give off a nice warm glow. But that room is pretty much just material storage right now so def not cozy up in there. Ha!

    Actually, it seems like the plastic held up pretty well. Just a few holes. But it must be a relief to have the permanent roofing installed. Lot less worry this fall/winter. The home looks great!!

    Beautiful work!! I'm glad you're are doing this hard labor than me . I know your pains of getting older. Yes you have to pace yourself.. good job sorry for late viewing. I sometimes get tangled in my own messes. But I see you have foreman around to make sure you are doing a good job as well. I'm sure they do appreciate your home as well. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.. thank care and God Bless..

      Right back at ya! Thanks for checking in! I've just been in hibernation mode this winter, plus the Rona knocked me out for most of November and I'm just now feeling motivation to finally do some work on the house. Mostly boring electrical receptacle connecting but I've recorded some of it so hopefully I'll get a video up before spring. Ha!

    I definitely think you will have major issues in time, sooner than later. Yes, there is a special glue that can be used to adhere foam to EPDM. it would have lasted you much longer. By the way Drew is a personal friend of mine...you can still still do it and sleep well. I really wish you would have called Drew and explained what you were doing , he would have given you advice 😊

      Well, I haven't cut the vent holes in it yet so I suppose I could still glue it down. I haven't researched it so do you know why gluing it down makes it last longer over just having it float?

      From what ive seen.... a small puncture can lead to a unoticable leak and the foam soaks up alot of the water wich leads to a roof collapse so id imagine its to prevent a friction hole from forming overtime@@thesomewhathandyman9400

    It’s nice to see a video from you again, I hope winter will bring more frequent uploads! Tell me about this roof? Is this temporary (might have missed that part) what are you going to do for final roofing? I did black metal and I LOVE mine! By the way IM IN REMISSION!!

      Howdy howdy! Glad to hear about the remission! Hope it stays away! Yeah, winters take away my motivation to do much, plus I got the Rona in November. Just now starting to feel some motivation to get some stuff done so hopefully I'll have enough for a video in a week or two. Hope you had a great Christmas and a wonderful start to the new year!

    I was wondering if you replaced roof yet, cause prices will be going up soon...

    • @thesomewhathandyman9400
      @thesomewhathandyman9400  11 місяців тому +1

      Yeah they are. I did buy that roll about a year ago and it did come down a bit after I bought but I imagine I would have spent the money on something else anyway so you win some and you lose some on the pricing game. With all the reclaimed stuff I've purchased I'm still far ahead in that aspect though. ;)

      I was able to avoid them for so many years but then the croc bug got me about a year ago. I do cringe when I forget to take them off when I go to the store or something. Ha!

      Shoot, I can't remember for sure but I think it was from pondliner.com. I almost got it from Amazon but I think I was able to get it a bit cheaper on pondliner. Best of luck on your search!
