When I was stationed in Turkey in the early 2000, I would go to the local open market and buy large black figs. I think they called them Anatolian black figs. Have you or anyone who follows you ever heard of them and if so, how can I order a cutting? Any help would be appreciated. Keep up the good work with your videos!

I am not familiar with a specific one with that name but one of the most popular figs over there is called Bursa Siyahi and it is an excellent black fig but it requires the fig wasp to ripen

@@figsandchocolate5553 Thanks for your response, I really appreciate it. Do you have any recommendations for anything similar? I live in Yakima valley of central Washington.

@@mcervantes824 I am not sure. I have heard good things about Ischia Black. Check out Oregon Figs. He has some excellent videos and you might find something for your area.

You mentioned CLBC is in your top ten. What are the other nine varieties in your top ten??

This is one of the few varieties of which I have duplicates. It's a shinning star. Mine all ripened main crop in their second leaf. This year they produced breba but they have all dropped. Has yours ever ripened breba?

I have three as well. 2/3 have never produced figs. I think it really does need heat to shine. Hoping my 15G potted tree produces earlier this year. 🤞

It does seem like this one is challenging in cooler climates. I am very lucky to have the added heat on that back wall

I have a very young one and can’t find much online about size and vigor. I’m trying to lay out my orchard of 20 in ground figs with the small one’s in the front (south) taller in the back. You mentioned you have a couple in ground. Thoughts? For context I’m thinking Smith, RDB,BM, CDDB as being small ish, Scott’s Black being large ish…. Just trying to maximize sunlight. I know I can always keep them pruned to size but I’m getting old haha

I'll be honest; this video is very confusing. The point of the video is that your CLBC is very productive, yet I see no figs or figlets. Yes, you said it was, but I didn't see it. You should have waited for the fig to develop and swell, it would have been easy to see and compare to other varieties.
