Wow! When I became a believer, the FIRST thing I came to was the belief that Scripture is absolutely, unequivocally true! Everything else flows from there.

As someone who has served in more than one Northpoint partnership churches, this is totally shocking. I'm ashamed to ever be a part of these churches, if you even want to call them that.

False teachers are increasing. Staying attached to the Word is the key to a peaceful daily walk. Life is challenging, full of ups, and downs with purpose. God's word thru the power of the Holy Spirit provides all the answers regardless of circumstances. People with their own twisted interpretation do not believe the Word or its purpose for humanity. Some people want to know what God thinks, others want God to know what they think, the irony is, God knows what we think before we think it! God's beyond amazing!

Thank you for picking this apart. I can't stand his voice. When I hear him, it feels like I'm hearing the False Prophet. He's bitter and hateful and spiteful underneath that veneer of disgusting soft and fake positivity. He's obviously preaching another gospel and another Jesus. Paul said let him be accursed. I think he knows. He's too smart not to know. He is bound and determined to take as many to Hell with him as possible. He hates God, he hates his congregation and he hates us. He is embittered because whatever his favorite sin is, is not accepted. Andy's solution is to just drop the parts that condemn him. What is his favorite sin or sins? Which ones do he consistently lobby? I think he's setting up his congregation for something he wants to reveal to them. I don't know if he ever will, but he wants to. I don't know what it is, but I have a pretty good idea.

Andy S. is "woke" with his acceptance of LGBTQ people as members of his church and refusal to condemn their sin. He needs calling out so glad you do this. I've been skeptical of him going way back to when his mother left his dad and he told his father Charles should therefore quit being a pastor at his own church. He goes from one extreme to another. His father was not guilty of any sin, and his church rightly voted to retain him. It was his mother that wrongly departed, and that case was personal to me for I was a pastor also and had a wife that left me without any Biblical cause as well. Both of them have passed on now, so that is past. But here goes Andy off on another tangent, seemingly to gain popularity, and turning away from what his father taught, to this spurious belief about what is inspired about the Bible, and HIS belief is not accurate! I often go to your web site for I have MacArthur's Master Study Bible and many of his commentaries. I get over 100 emails a day and have about 7 sites I go to when I can, and still work as well part time, and busy in republican politics so have very little spare time--even today, worked on re-building an old shed outside till 2;00 pm when it got to be -104 and had to come in. Someone should remind Andy Stanley that in Mathew, Mark, Luke, AND John, Jesus quoted Scripture (the Old Testament). Andy dismisses the Old Testament over and over again, so it seems he doesn't agree with what Jesus said in Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John.

Andy Stanley has embraced the concepts of modern textual criticism which its authors claim you cannot know what the original authors wrote. Add to this the overlaying of evolutionary dogma of billions of years for the creation of the universe on the first 11 chapters of Genesis and you have doubt introduced that God didn't say any of this. Notice how many people were turning to Psalm 119 in Charles Stanley's church. A stark contrast to Andy Stanley's church. Jesus said, “You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; it is these that testify about Me” (New American Standard Bible, 1971/1995, John 5:39). We need the Bible because it is a true testimony of Jesus. Jesus again said in His high priestly prayer, “Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth” ( John 17:17). It seems to me that Andy Stanley enjoys being controversial to make a name for himself, because he cannot do it by knowledge of the Word and an anointing by the Holy Spirit as was his father.
He has developed a worldview and tries to cram it into Truth no matter how he twists it it will not fit, like a rebellious teenager going against the rules, sounds like he is dealing with unresolved daddy 'issues' unfortunately for his congregation praying they wake up!
I think Andy should just get to the point. He is teaching that it is okay to pick and choose scriptures. If you don't like something in the bible, ignore it! Anything can be rationalized away and it's okay as long as you profess that you love Jesus. This is the same message being taught in all the "gay affirming" churches. They are hijacking the concept of a loving, forgiving Jesus and spinning him out as Oprah Winfrey with a tunic and a beard. God is not amused and we should all pray.

I couldn't make it all the way through this because it seems to be yet another lashing out at Stanley by eisegesis of what he is saying, rather than exegesis of what he is saying.
By the same token, this channel seems to develop its perception of God from reading the bible. The proper approach is to develop our perception and understanding of scripture from our direct relationship with God. When we truly know and fellowship with and communicate with Father, Son and Spirit whose essence is love, scripture comes to life in a new and different way than that being taught by the legalist and particularly the Calvinist.

Well when it comes to the ministry him and his Dad Didn't see eye to eye. So he left his Dad's ministry and went to make his own and he's not popular until after his dad dies. I recently saw your video about Charles Stanley and people saying that he is a false preacher. The only proof being his “once saved, always saved” belief. This is the basis of many Baptist doctrines. I have seen many people who claim to be believers, accept Jesus Christ as their Savior, get baptized, and nothing else. Call it fire or life insurance. Charles kept his distance from his son and then decided to attempt to repair their relationship with meetings in a neutral setting. He wanted to be the father that he never had. I believe that he wanted his son to repent and return to a real Christian faith. I, personally, don’t believe that Andy was ever saved. He has mocked everything that his father has taught him. From what I understand, Andy was open with his father about their differences to a degree. That’s why he left his father’s ministry. He reminds me of Judas Iscariot. All pretense while Satan was waiting and working inside of him. I saw no real grief in Andy over his father’s death. Only a sense of relief that now he can go ahead full throttle. Andy is doing everything he can to destroy his father’s legacy and work. I would have to see or hear what Charles really said on his deathbed. I am sure that he told his son that he loved him. The rest I doubt. Andy’s statement was more about himself than his father. Like he was using it as a support of him and his “ministry,” while Charles’ daughter called him her “best friend.” All I know is that Charles wanted very much for his son to return to the fold. He had Hope.
He give me goosebumps when I hear him ….that if he is not saved…… a very big punishment awaits him for deceiving those who hear him... if he were a child of God meaning a real Christian he would be afraid of God…but he is not…. and the proof is, he ignores the scriptures, it is seen that he is not afraid of God because why? Because he is not a real Christian …perhaps he even not believe in God, he is a wolf in sheep's clothing for deceiving those who hear him… if he were a child of God or a Christian he would be more afraid of God… because he plainly ignore the scriptures…. Because the lack of the fear of God, perhaps he does not believe in God he is a wolf in sheep's clothing…. many brothers have confronted him but he does not want to hear them… he preferred to listen to the devil and his lies; I think he knows it ….but he doesn't care about the consequences because as I said before, maybe he think that there is a god who is not going to judge him, if he is saved he will lose many rewards, but if he is not, he will end up in hell, it doesn't matter if he is the son of Charles Stenly
We are experiencing a world that has left the doctrine of the Bible. I guess Andy’s pride has elevated his opinion above that of the canonical council. This is the danger of the deception of the devil. The credibility of the Bible has stood the test on time(thousands of years). Andy’s credibility is falling apart. Choose this day who you will serve.

Stating the fact that the Bible was put together 300 years after the resurrection should tell you the Church that was formed before that is the true church, not that the Bible is not to be relied on for being true.
Why do people still disregard the original Church and force the framing of God’s work to their own ideas?

I am shocked at the concept that you came to about Dr. Charles Stanley. Using ONE belief to negate everything that he has done for so many years. Some Christians can be around people who have erroneously believed some heretical ideas and NOT be taken in by it. These Christians serve as an example of Jesus and his teachings. Jesus didn’t spend all of his time with his disciples. He went to those who needed a physician. Charles believed that “once saved, always saved” would give his son the opportunity for repentance. The same for anyone who had accepted the Lord as his Savior. To question his entire ministry based on so little evidence is a grave injustice. By the way, was the Holy Spirit in the room when you made this decision? Because I feel Him speaking to me when Dr. Stanley gives a message.
All I can say is from the Bible Stanley does not believe in. Matthew 7:13. Leading many down that BROAD PATH instead of the narrow one. Yeah, listen to Matthew folks, NOT Andy Stanley.

The attack on Andy uses some of the worwst logic I have seen recently. He doesn't seem to understand thje difference between necessary and suffricient. The implication of a schism betwen Andy and Charles is not consistent with the way they used to fill each other's pulpit.
It's ironic that Mr. Stanley says we don't have to believe the bible but we should believe him. My vote is to believe God of the bible. Why do people like him even claim to be Christians when they obviously don't believe in Christ. Mr. Stanley I would suggest you rename your religion and leave the name of Christ out of it.
I'm asking the same question about all the LGBT taking over churches. Why don't they just join the Universalists or Unitarians or start their own church? Then I remember....the Devil is in the details.
