    The bumper and speed loader adapter are exactly what i'm looking for (The 3D print), are you planning to publish it soon?

    Great vid bro - i am a proud owner of a KWA MP9 as well except mine's got the built in handle. I bought that one because the built in handle is angled outward - perfectly to how one shoulders the gun.

      Thanks! I'd imagine that the integral handle feels good because a lot of testing was done to get it 'just right'. Also stay tuned, I have another MP9 video in the pipeline for Feb (a holster vid).

    Great video! New to airsoft you really have me thinking long and hard about the mp9 now! I always wanted the tp9 actuall version! I’m new to airsoft I haven’t bought anything yet but damn I love what you have done to this! Price isn’t too bad either! Subbed!

      Thanks for subscribing! I'm on a slight hiatus for videos while attending to other life matters, but I do have other builds and some airsoft stuff still in the pipeline. Weekly posts just got a bit much for me.
      The MP9 (and MP7) are gateway GBBR guns. Smaller and more unique compared to an AR/AK. Definitely pushes the right buttons for me. Having said that if you're new to airsoft, AEGs are far easier to deal with when you're on a budget.

    Unpopular opinion but the one with the frontgrip(original MP9) is wayyyy better. I got both btw and the rail is kinda overrated actually

      Perhaps some time in the future. I'm not fully satisfied with the design to make it as a product for sale, but it fit my needs for the time being so I stopped development on it.
      The main problem is mp9 magazine springs are much stronger than GBB or midcap springs, and you risk damaging the clutch in the Odin.

    I just got a kmp9 and I appreciate your time educating me on what I can do to upgrade mine. Is there any good way to clean out the mags? My bbs get jammed up in the double stack during gameplay. I probably get the mags dirty while I play. Is this a regular problem with these mags and is there a good way to prevent this from happening?

    • @aonomus
      @aonomus  2 роки тому

      I'd start with brushing and vacuum/compressed air. Anything wet might wash some fine grit into crevices only to reappear later to wear out your bucking, etc. Maybe an articulated fine toothbrush, or just some twisted up pipe cleaner bent into shape to reach in through the channel?

    when i got this gun it was shooting a little north of 400 fps, so i bought the CQB bolt and went to chrono test it and it was shooting 270. i know thats field legal but that seems a little too soft and was wondering if anyone has encountered the same problem and knows how to fix it! thank you.

    • @grimdior

      You can get the tight bore suppressor for the KWA MP9 that I believe increases the FPS about 50-70

    • @johnconnor614
      @johnconnor614 2 роки тому

      Your better at hpa adapter or tap the mags, I've tried cqb with a power up suppressor and it did nothing. No matter how much gas you apply to the cqb bolt it will not change at all. I found this out the hard way! Believe me 👍 you can buy npas which allows you dial on how much gas you allow through the nozzle, this allows you to play around with whatever the FPS you are after. Hope this helps...

    Really late comment, but I was considering getting one myself, and saw many people online talking about how the internals are really weak and how the full auto sear and disconnecter would break frequently, and was wondering if you have faced any of these issues yourself?

      @aonomus  3 роки тому

      Thanks for the tip, I'll have to look that up. I already have the CQB bolt though and to me it seems easier to field change the bolt, than valves for CQB or outdoor play?

    • @CykGameplays
      @CykGameplays 3 роки тому

      @@aonomus Thats true, but you could basically buy another non CQB bolt for cheap as most people swap these out, then down the FPS with those valves, saving you alot of costs as the CQB bolt does require you to often order it from overseas.

    • @aonomus

    Thanks for the Review!
    What would be the optimal bb weight for the normal bolt and stock gun? 0.25? 0.28,0.30,0.32? I'm going to run it also with HPA and as far as I know you can lower the pressure for less Joule.
    Could you recommend some bbs for normal bolt indoor/outdoor?

    • @aonomus
      @aonomus  Рік тому

      IMO you have to choose the BB to the context - fields have different engagement ranges but I wouldn't go lower than 0.28g so long as the joule limit is also OK for that weight.
      Reducing HPA pressure only goes so far, if you need indoor FPS/joule you may need the CQB bolt which can be hard to find sometimes.

    • @gothxerox9662
      @gothxerox9662 Рік тому

      @@aonomus Ah okay, thats true. Lowering pressure only goes so far that the bolt can still move with pressure.
      I guess for the optimum cqb setup I would need the cqb bolt and for my fields its usually a 1.2J and 0.25.g restriction for cqb.
      If you remember with 0.28 and like 100psi, how much joule would I get? Does the Tapp Electric Drum Mag still work fine with 0.28 bbs?
      Running it as outdoor or primary I will try the 0.28g, do you know if the hop up allows for more? What would u say is max weight for the stock hop up? Or which setup would you try to run outside?
      Thank you already.

    You sir are a genius! How do I get with ya on the speed loader?

    • @aonomus
      @aonomus  2 роки тому

      Sadly I never did lick the problem with it - the spring on these stick mags are just far too strong. Even when tightening up the Odin clutch to it's max, all you're doing is causing damage to BBs as you force them in. The only way is to lock the follower and then crank it gently to drop the BBs in. It is still faster but you don't get full double stacked efficiency unless you take your time. Less hassle and thumb strain though for sure. Maybe when I get back into airsoft I'll make a revision that has an oring to keep the BBs from barfing out everywhere too. Version 0.1 seemed to do 'enough' of a job that it solved /my/ problems, but I don't think it'd be satisfying enough to sell.

    @aonomus Hi, i recently got the TNT 275mm Hop and Barrel set, with normal bolt and green gas i get 1,8 joule on .32s but with CQB bolt i am suddenly stuck at around 0,7 joule, do you have any idea? faulty cqb bolt? need help pls

    • @aonomus
      @aonomus  3 роки тому

      Are you getting good seal between nozzle and hop rubber? If the hop rubber gets swollen with oil or worn out it won't seal well, you lose a lot of energy that way.

    • @johnconnor614
      @johnconnor614 2 роки тому

      With the cqb bolt you are limited to 0.7j because the valve inside won't allow anymore gas through the nozzle. No matter how powerful the gas is, you won't be able to change the FPS. You can buy npas system which allows you to change FPS to your needs

    Do you know where to get the rail segment? I'm trying to switch from the integral grip to the railed version and KWA's website has the lower and upper receiver, but not the rail insert and I haven't been able to find it anywhere. Do u know by chance where to get it?

    • @aonomus
      @aonomus  3 роки тому

      You might have to get in touch directly with KWA for part numbers 199-0114-171, 199-0114-172, 2x 199-0114-173, and 199-0114-175, and possibly some threaded insert parts (199-0114-177)? It's likely not a common thing for KWA to stock extra of.

      A little, but not enough that it bothers me. The compact and retract/extend deployment (over a swinging arm) are worth a little bit of instability with a short barrel airsoft gun.

      Come to think of it, yeah. Minus the zipper opening up all the way. The Persec Zipsert is pretty great though, and I always have the option of pulling the zipsert out and putting in another mag insert for more capacity or different loadouts.
      I really should get the Haley Strategic cross straps instead of the repro Spiritus micro fight straps which are very uncomfortable though.
