America's Voices in Israel 2004

The Jewish Federation of San Antonio sponsored a trip which included KTSA's Chris Duel to tour Israel and report back live on air with events and interviews. THis was an official program of the State of Israel to get its story out to Americans in their own city.
This 77 minute video chronicle captures the mood of the times.
While in Israel many of the interviews captured here were scraped when - mid week - Yassar Arafat collapsed (and some months later died in Paris). Suddenly our group of three were center-stage on this politically shattering event. And we were in the nerve center for reporting: the radio studio of the Jerusalem Post.
All three of us - Rueben, Chris Duel and Jim Berg - were changed individuals as a result of the reporting we did and rebroadcast to San Antonio in the Spring of 2004.
It was later discovered that Arafat was poisoned.
