I find it funny that people think Soto would want to be part of this. If the Mets rebuild, Soto is a one man show. If the Mets make a few moves to improve the team, Soto is still a one man show. It will take more than Soto to make the Mets a contender. I don't think the money will be enough for Soto to endure playing for a team that can't compete for a World Series title. Soto may not remain with the Yankees, but it will not be because he chose the Mets.
Thank you. Money is one thing but Soto won’t sign with a team that will be in complete rebuild mode already and this season isn’t even in at the half way point.

As a Phillies fan, this brings me IMMENSE joy. The Mets being dysfunctional is pretty commonplace right now. He acted out improperly, not very good, but I think it's more the environment in that clubhouse right now
I remember the Twins trading for Lopez when he was on fire and he sucked for them. I would caution any team that needs an arm.

If he said worst “teammate,” the context doesn’t make sense. I’ve heard tons of people try to say that, and no one explains the context. He was asked if he regrets his actions, and he would “I don’t regret it, I’ve been the worst teammate?” That quote doesn’t make sense. It DOES make sense to not regret it if you’re on the worst TEAM. If was the worst teammate, by his own words, then he would regret his actions. You don’t regret them the team is the issue, not you.
Completely dishonest reading by anyone trying to spin what he said. Not to mention he doubled down on it in the moment. Only after the fact, when he realized how stupid it was, did he try to change the what he said.
