Speed, power, grace, finesse, dribbling and finishing is unmatched. He just dances around defenders and keepers. The best my eyes have ever seen.

I think the injury free Ronaldo was the best player in the history of the game. He was the most talented young player at the age of just 19 or 20 years. At that time football was much more difficult than it is today because the best as well as the brutal defenders of the planet played at that time. It was not very easy for a striker to score lots of goals and win the Ballon D'or. But Ronaldo won it in two consecutive seasons in 96 and 97 when he was just 19 or 20. If he could win the World cup in the next year in France he would become the first player to win the award for 3 years in a row at the age of just 22. Just imagine man how good Ronaldo was!!!!

Player who played like that tend to lose their skills.
Think as well those passovers at full speed were partly the reason his knees got wrecked later. Actually the second time his knees gave up in Inter it was right when he was doing one of these.
That being said, those pass overs are a gem, it's sad his body could not handle them but damn are they mesmerizing to watch in slow motion. And what kind of technical aptitude it takes to make them. I've seen nobody else do them that way.
