Zedaph is easily one of the most creative and underrated hermits. Nobody but him would think of some of this stuff.
His season 7 base was also incredible, he had such cool inventions there like the giant sundial

Considering that Limited Life was a pseudo-anarchy server, that's not very surprising. Meanwhile Hermitcraft is a place for wholesome and relatively non-agressive tomfoolery and kerfuffles.

I love this entire scenario so much. Zedaph is one of the most wholesome pranksters of all time, and the way he got Grian, the ultimate pranklord into his whole ordial and totally made him his servant. The whole conversation regarding shulkers and their transportation and mishaps was also hysterical.

If you're afk for hours how does the player not starve? or do you only lose hunger when moving/ taking damage? bc if that's so then damn I didn't know that haha
yeah from what i know just walking also doesnt consume hunger
you don't lose hunger and saturation from just existing lol. existing, walking _(specifically_ walking, not sprinting or jumping), fishing, and a few other minor actions don't cost hunger or saturation.
For the most part, hunger is only spent if the action being taken is something that would be physically strenuous to do for extended periods of time (sprinting, jumping, swimming) or if it would be physically strenuous to do repeatedly (breaking blocks, fighting mobs, using bows or crossbows) - this is part of why the Elytra is the best movement type in the game. Boats and Minecarts, while not requiring hunger to use them, are _most often_ used in scenarios that involve structures that definitely cost a heck of a lot of hunger to build. With Elytra, you can _fall_ off a ledge (jumping costs hunger) to activate it, then use fireworks to keep going. if those fireworks don't contain stars (which hurt you, meaning you'd have to then heal, which costs hunger), your hunger will stay where it is, no matter how many thousands of blocks you travel
To add onto the previous comment, you can use a beacon with saturation for afk farms to avoid hunger.
